10:59 a.m., Murphys - Mitchler Avenue residents found their missing puppies at a pet rescue in Lake Tahoe. The rescue organization refused to give the puppies back.

6:03 p.m., San Andreas - An argument was reported on Pope Street.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


8:42 p.m., Altaville - Michael John Lee, 50, of the 2000 block of Murphys Grade Road, was booked after an arrest at Murphys Grade Road and Highway 49.


The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


10:05 a.m., suspicious circumstances - A man on West Stockton Street selling items online was told that the items were stolen.

3:03 p.m., harassment - A woman on Alpine Lane received harassing phone calls from creditors.

7:09 p.m., disorderly conduct - Two unknown men with knives threatened a man on Olive Street.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


10:47 a.m., La Grange - An 83-year-old man on Enramada Drive had a toe infection and could not walk. He was referred to medical personnel.

1:22 p.m., Jamestown - A teal pickup truck with garbage in the bed parked in front of a business on the 18000 block of Highway 108 all day.

1:27 p.m., Columbia - A man Parrotts Ferry Road received a picture of his driver's license via text message. He was concerned about possible identity theft.

3:48 p.m., East Sonora -A man on the 19000 block of Christie May Lane said a neighbor's pit bulls held him "at bay" so he shot at them. He believes he killed one of them.

5:21 p.m., East Sonora - A woman on Mono Way said a dog was shot.

6:36 p.m., Tuolumne - A 10-year-old child on Horizon Court dialed 911 when his mom had an acid reflux attack.

Felony bookings


1:40 p.m., Jamestown - Casey Justin Carpenter, 21, of the 1200 block of Armstrong Drive, Manteca, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest at Fifth Avenue and Highway 108.

9:10 p.m., Jamestown - Brandon Dale Birdsong, 37, of the 1400 block of Moccasin Drive, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of forgery, drug possession and violation of probation after an arrest at Rawhide Road and Highway 108. He allegedly attempted to pass a counterfeit $100 bill at a business on the 8000 block of Highway 49.
