The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


1:53 a.m., fight - A man and woman were in a fight on the first block of Columbia Way.

10:03 p.m., theft - A chalkboard display was stolen from a business on South Washington Street.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


8:08 a.m., Tuolumne - A homeless man was sleeping on the front porch of his former home on Gardner Avenue.

8:36 a.m., Sonora area - A woman who was terminated from a job was calling her former employer, harassing the employees at a Camage Avenue business, and flipping off company trucks.

9:28 a.m., Long Barn - Someone rented a snowboard, boots, and bindings from a shop on Highway 108 and did not return them.

10:26 a.m., East Sonora - A woman said that a man in a long trench coat stopped at her mailbox on Longeway Road.

11:47 a.m. Sonora area - A woman said that a cab driver stopped in the middle of the road and made a motion toward her like he was shooting her.

2:04 p.m., Jamestown - A woman said that she heard a "blood-curdling scream" on New Peoria Road. A park ranger located a person using a predator coyote call.

5:26 p.m., Groveland - Someone said that there were five kids hanging out behind a church on Elder Drive. The caller thought they were "up to no good".

6:53 p.m., Mi-Wuk - A man saw a man in a green sweater stealing a package from a front door on Paipu Road. He chased him down and retrieved the package.

7:05 p.m., La Grange - A woman on Alameda Drive called 911 because a man was laughing and annoying her. She was advised not to misuse emergency lines, or she would be arrested.

7:40 p.m., Twain Harte - A man on Ryan Court said he was close to signing a noise complaint on his neighbor. The neighbor said that he wanted the man to call him if he is being loud before calling the sheriff.

10:09 p.m., Sonora area - A woman said a man with long gray hair was knocking on the door of a Greenley Road church. He told deputies he was trying to speak with people from his church.

Felony bookings


1:50 p.m., Jamestown - David Allen Dennis, 35, of the 10000 block of Preston Lane, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest at his home.

2:54 p.m., Soulsbyville - Johnny Ray Mobley, 20, of the 200 block of South Barretta Street, was booked on suspicion of violation of probation, being a felon with a gun, and drug possession, after an arrest on the 20000 block of Timothy Court.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


7:31 a.m., Columbia - Aundrea Malia Ray, 34, of the 21000 block of Parrotts Ferry Road, was arrested on Highway 49.

10:11 p.m., Jamestown - Randall Lee West, 51, of the 6000 block of Arrow Wood Drive, Riverbank, was arrested at Highway 120 and O'Byrnes Ferry Road.

11:07 p.m., Sonora area - Earl Douglas Geyer, 49, of the 21000 block of Old Sonora Columbia Road was arrested at Highway 49 and Old Sonora Columbia Road.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


11:39 a.m., Angels Camp - A black cow was out near a car wash on Highway 49 and Bonanza Lane.

7:57 p.m., Vallecito - People were doing a college study on Parrotts Ferry Bridge.
