The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


12:10 p.m., disorderly conduct - A man blocked an entrance to a Sanguinetti Road business.

12:34 p.m., trespass - A transient set up a tent behind a business on the 600 block of West Stockton Road.

2:08 p.m., public disturbance - A man was in an argument with someone who was blocking an entrance to a Sanguinetti Road business.

4:43 p.m., reckless driving - A driver was cutting people off and signing profanities on South Washington Street.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


11:01 a.m, Sonora area - A woman said that she let someone stay in her motor home on Sunshine Hill Road and he stole a stereo.

11:44 a.m., Jamestown - A scruffy man was seen at the end of a Mountain Pass Road gate. 12:42 p.m., Columbia - A man on Yankee Hill Road said someone called him and claimed to be a family member in need of money to repair his car. He was aware it was a scam and hung up.

2:29 p.m., Columbia - A man on Marble Quarry Road said that he doesn't like wild turkeys and he thinks his neighbor has been feeding and throwing rocks at them.

3:14 p.m., Sonora area - A man said that his neighbor was setting off loud blasts on Murphy Road. The noise scared his horse and caused it to run into a gate.

3:31 p.m., Sonora area - A woman on Berg Court saw a news report about home invasions. She wanted advice on how to protect herself.

5:54 p.m., Columbia - A man and woman in a small truck dumped trash on the side of Big Hill Road.

Felony bookings


3:55 p.m., Sonora - Joshua Tommy Davis, 26, of the 1500 block of Sixth Avenue, Oakland, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest at Linoberg and Green streets. He also was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence and driving without a license.

2:07 p.m., Jamestown - Mitchell Gene Smith, 29, of the 1100 block of Alley Drive, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor receiving stolen property, after an arrest on the 1700 block of Seco Street.

10:14 p.m., Sonora area - Ryan Albert Wardell, 24, of the 15000 block of Lakeside Drive, was booked on suspicion of battery, after an arrest of the 14000 block of Lakeside Drive.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


2:41 p.m., Valley Springs - Someone took items from an unlocked vehicle on California Street.

Felony bookings


10 p.m., Angels Camp - Joshua Paul Ftacek, 36, of the 8000 block of Clark Street, Mokelumne Hill, was booked on suspicion of carrying a loaded firearm and drug possession, after an arrest on Main Street and Coppello Road.

10:33 p.m., San Andreas - Tawnya Leanne Shepard, 50, of the 18000 block of Golden Dove Road, Jamestown, was booked on suspicion of stealing a vehicle and forgery, after an arrest at the 700 block of Mountain Ranch Road.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


12:40 a.m., Copperopolis - Jaclynette Mae Martin, 66, of the 900 block of Sawmill Flat Road, Columbia, was booked after an arrest at Highway 4 and Rock Creek Road.
