TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

9:23 a.m., fraudulent activities - Someone gained fraudulent access to a Columbia Way resident's bank account and stole $1,880.

10:39 a.m., theft - A business on North Washington Street said a former employee took about five gift certificates from the store and did not turn in the money for the certificate purchases. The business only wanted to report the incident and didn't request any criminal charges brought against the suspect.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

10:02 a.m., Crystal Falls - Someone wanted to report fraudulent activities on Crystal Falls Drive.

3 p.m., Groveland - A school employee said he caught two juveniles smoking marijuana in a car at Tioga High School on Ferretti Road. He stated that all he found was a pipe and smelled marijuana in the car. The employee was told that the pipe was not a crime.

7:13 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village - A woman went to check on her neighbor on East Brookside Drive, whom she had not seen in several days. She found what appeared to be blood on the door. The woman later talked to the neighbor and found out it was just paint.

Felony bookings

TUESDAY

7:45 a.m., Jamestown - Kenneth Richard McLeod, 39, of the 16600 block of Creekside Road, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of five felonies related to unlawful sexual contact with a minor, after an arrest on Highway 108 at Montezuma Junction.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

8:14 a.m., Mountain Ranch - A mailbox was vandalized on Ponderosa Way.

11:37 a.m., Mokelumne Hill - Fraud was reported on North Main Street.

12:06 p.m., San Andreas - A mailbox was vandalized at Hawver and Gold Strike roads.

1:15 p.m., San Andreas - Another mailbox was vandalized, this time on West Murray Creek Road. Sheriff's dispatchers received another report about 10 minutes later regarding a vandalized mailbox at Windmill Circle and Mountain Ranch Road.

Arrests

Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

MONDAY

10:47 p.m., Murphys - Joshua Ross Allen, 24, of the 1900 block of Sugar Pine Way, Douglas Flat, was arrested at a business on Highway 4.

TUESDAY

2:21 p.m., West Point - Martin Eric Frisch, 48, of the 1400 block of Lilly Valley Circle, was arrested at Highway 26 and Stanley Road.
