Calaveras hires temp public works director

By Mike Morris, The Union Democrat

Calaveras County supervisors have appointed an Arnold man to serve as the county's interim public works director.

Michael H. Miller previously served as interim public works director from 2007 to 2009.

"He's got a lot of great experience working interim positions in a number of communities," said County Administrative Officer Lori Norton.

In addition to Calaveras County, those communities include Palo Alto and Concord.

Miller's contract will go before the county Board of Supervisors at the board's next meeting on Feb. 11.
