The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


10:37 a.m., found property - A cell phone was found and an officer contacted the owner, who picked up the device at the Sonora Police Department on Green Street.

4:20 p.m., suspicious circumstances - A man on Reservoir Road said he was the victim of a possible scam, but only wanted the incident documented.

6:31 p.m., controlled substances - A 53-year-old man called 911 and said he was lost and needed help. The man was later arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

7:03 p.m., public intoxication - A 48-year-old woman in the emergency room at Sonora Regional Medical Center was allegedly "extremely intoxicated" and being uncooperative with hospital staff. She was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


11:12 a.m., Twain Harte - A man on Wildwood Drive was the victim of an attempted phone scam. Someone called him claiming to be from the Social Security Administration.

11:58 a.m., Columbia - Suspected drug activity occurred on Upper Quail Mine Road and the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Narcotics Team was advised.

4:50 p.m., Sonora area - A woman on Belleview Road said her vehicle has been repeatedly vandalized. Someone put something in the door lock and has been letting air out of the tires.

4:59 p.m., Sonora area - A suspected phone scammer "with a strong foreign accent" called a woman on Highway 49 and said she won a car but needed to pay $395 to receive the prize. The woman hung up on the caller.

Felony bookings


12:40 a.m., Columbia - Terry A. Lamb, 20, of the 500 block of Highway 49, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at Parrotts Ferry Road and Columbia Street.

3:13 p.m., Tuolumne - Ayres Daniel Tome, 56, of the 18500 block of Cedar Street, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest at his home.

9:18 p.m., Soulsbyville - Walter Charles Torrey, 41, of the 10100 block of Peppermint Creek Road, Jamestown, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, after an arrest at Highway 108 and Draper Mine Road.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


12:36 p.m., Burson - Someone reported a wallet stolen Monday morning at a business on Highway 12.

3:33 p.m., San Andreas - A man was squatting in the bushes near apartments on Main Street.

7:59 p.m., Rail Road Flat - Someone heard gunshots and someone riding an ATV around Doe Road and Buck Lane.

8:02 p.m., Valley Springs - Trash was dumped on a trail on Shadow Lane.

8:19 p.m.,, San Andreas - Mailboxes were broken into at a mobile home park on Calaveritas Road.

10:40 p.m., San Andreas - A reckless driver was reported at Highway 49 and Buckskin Way.

Felony bookings


12:30 a.m., Angels Camp - Steven James McDonald, 25, of the 1000 block of Bret Harte Road, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on the 300 block of South Main Street.

11:08 a.m., Arnold - Roger Wyatt Adams Jr., 30, of the 2800 block of Venado Drive, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on the 2100 block of Highway 4.

4:08 p.m., Angels Camp - Alfredo Licea, 37, address unknown, was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats and drug possession, after an arrest at Lee Lane and Stanislaus Avenue.
