The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


10 a.m., traffic accident - A hit and run with property damage believed to have occurred on Monday was reported at the police station.

1:50 p.m., animal complaints - An aggressive pit bull was reported to have attempted attacking another dog while out on a walk on Elk Drive.

2 p.m., public assistance - An officer assisted in returning a patient who left a long-term care facility on Fairview Lane.

6:29 p.m., warrant arrest - A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant at a business on the 100 block of Old Wards Ferry.

8:36 p.m., littering - A man was arrested on suspicion of littering on a public street on the 800 block of Mono Way.


9:14 a.m., theft - A cell phone and cash were reported stolen from a home on South Barretta Street.

6:34 p.m., suspicious circumstances - A transient left a business on the 700 block of Mono Way upon an officer's request, because the person was making another customer nervous.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


8:04 a.m., Columbia - A woman said someone shot her house with a shotgun overnight. She came outside her home in the morning to find the front of her house covered in buckshot holes on the 22400 block of South Airport Road.

9:52 a.m., Sonora area - A man said a pit bull and bull mastiff got into his chicken coop and killed several of his chickens and he shot and killed one dog on Scenic Heights Drive.

10:43 a.m., Tuolumne - A family member requested an officer speak with an 8-year-old about stealing on Oak Street.

4:21 p.m., Jamestown - Someone requested a welfare check on a woman who was in an argument with a man who left an apartment on Seco Street. Officers confirmed it was only a verbal argument over juice.

5:41 p.m., Jamestown - Someone reported about six people "smoking weed" outside a building on Preston Lane. The caller said it is an ongoing problem.

6:14 p.m., Crystal Falls - Someone heard an argument possibly turning physical near the 21600 block of Crystal Falls Drive. An officer checked around and asked others and couldn't find anything.

7:49 p.m., Jamestown - A man was heard yelling at someone to "get out of there" at Rawhide and Bostwick roads. Deputies weren't able to find anything.

8:51 p.m., Sonora area - Two loose aggressive dogs were reported near the 19100 block of Beauchamp Drive. The caller said it is an ongoing problem.

9:46 p.m., Jamestown - Someone was banging on a front door on Mill Villa Road.


5:28 a.m., Jamestown - Someone saw a person walking around someone else's front yard on Lawler Lane.

10:24 a.m., Columbia - A man reported three to five people walking around his trailer on the 22200 block of Columbia Lane. He believed they wanted to throw lye on him. An hour later, he called back and said they were on his porch. Officers found no one.

10:58 a.m., Twain Harte - A woman said her daughter's boyfriend was being verbally abusive on Twain Harte Drive and wanted law enforcement to make him leave. Officers on scene said there was no crime and it was his property and determined the fight was about the mother being at the house and not leaving when she lives four minutes away.

4:25 p.m., Jamestown - A dog was reportedly attacked by a neighbor's dog on Rimrock Road.

8:17 p.m., Sonora area - A man in an argument with a woman jumped on her car and either kicked or used a metal pipe to break her windshield while children were inside the car on Deerfield Drive. No one was injured and the woman didn't want to press charges and said these things never happen.

9:19 p.m., Jamestown - Several people were reportedly smoking drugs and making a lot of noise on Preston Lane.

10:22 p.m., Sonora area - Two callers reported an argument on Highway 49. It was determined to verbal only.

11:22 p.m., Sonora - Someone heard a man yelling about needing to get his baseball bat on Highway 49. Deputies advised the man to go back inside and not disturb anyone and he agreed.

Felony bookings


3:32 a.m., Tuolumne - Robert Franklin Tomlin, 62, of the 10700 block of Wigwam Road, Jamestown, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest at Tuolumne and Morris roads.

3:46 a.m., Tuolumne - Carli Jo Goewey, 33, of Oakdale, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and transporting or selling drugs after an arrest on Cherokee Road.

8:32 a.m., Jamestown - Bradley Curtice Gardner, 20, of the 18600 block of Highway 108, was booked on suspicion of theft from an elder and receiving known stolen property after an arrest at his home.

3:25 a.m., Sonora - Calaeryn Llewellyn Williams, 29, of Hawaii, was booked after an arrest at Timberhills Shopping Center on Mono Way.


12:29 a.m., Sonora - James Richard Mason, 67, of Manteca, was booked after an arrest on Mono Way.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


11:02 a.m., Burson - A burglary was reported on Brandy Lane.

5:01 p.m., Valley Springs - Youths were reportedly shining a laser light into people's eyes as they drove by the 200 block of Highway 12.

8:59 p.m., San Andreas - A single gunshot was heard and muzzle flash was seen near Calaveritas Road.

9:11 p.m., Valley Springs - A gunshot or gunshots were reported at Butler Lane and Dandelion Court.

10:35 p.m., Valley Springs - An attempted break-in was reported on the 200 block of Highway 12.


2:06 a.m., Arnold - An attempted break-in was reported on Highway 4. The caller said rocks were thrown at the window.

3:20 p.m., San Andreas - A physical altercation was reported on Hawver Road. A woman was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery.

10:44 p.m., Arnold - An arrest was made after an officer contacted a "suspicious person" at a business on the 2200 block of Highway 4.

Felony bookings


2:48 p.m., Rail Road Flat - David Duane Williams, 42, of the 1200 block of Rail Road, was booked on suspicion of child cruelty, drug possession and misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, being under the influence of drugs, drug paraphernalia possession and possession of marijuana while driving after an arrest at Independence and Wagner roads.

11:18 p.m., Arnold - Maura Ann Grant, 51, of the 2800 block of Tahos Drive, Dorrington, was booked after an arrest on Upper Moran Road.
