1:56 p.m., Hathaway Pines - A theft occurred on Inspiration Drive.

2:25 p.m., Valley Springs - An intruder entered a residence on McCauley Road, but was gone when a sheriff's deputy arrived.

3:39 p.m., San Andreas - Someone called 911 because a business on Mountain Ranch Road closed prior to the time posted on its sign.

4:35 p.m., San Andreas - A man with a local misdemeanor warrant was arrested on Beverlynn Lane after sheriff's deputies responded to a verbal dispute over a dog.

8:31 p.m., Campo Seco - A man fired off a few gun shots to scare away some intruders on his Campo Seco Road property. They got into a vehicle and left the area.

1:59 a.m., Angels Camp - Christopher Lynn Jachalke, 37, of the 100 block of West Willow Street, Stockton, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on the 500 block of North Main Street.

7 p.m., San Andreas - Jason David Anthony Roberts, 21, of the 3100 block of Highway 49, was booked on suspicion of multiple charges of sexual assault on a child, after an arrest at his home.


The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


8:34 a.m., suspicious circumstances - A man was talking loudly and making employees feel nervous at a business on North Washington Street.

9:05 a.m., theft - Someone broke into a soda machine on Hospital Road and left behind their tools.

10:50 a.m., vandalism - Two soda machines were vandalized outside of a business on Highway 49.

1:16 p.m., school assists - Four minors tried to purchase tobacco with fake IDs at a store on Pesce Way. Sonora High will be handling the situation.

4:26 p.m., suspicious circumstances - Someone on Banner Drive reported a man suspected of growing and selling marijuana from his residence.

9:38 p.m., pedestrian checks - An officer spoke with two men wearing dresses on South Washington Street.

7:59 a.m., Groveland - Someone's hearing aids were reported stolen at a business on Main Street.

9:01 a.m., Columbia - A vehicle's tires were slashed on Valley Quail Road.

10:22 a.m., Columbia - A woman at a mobile home park on Green Street reported a phone scam involving a caller who asked the woman to send $500 in exchange for lottery winnings.

11:34 a.m., La Grange - A woman at La Grange and Bonds Flat roads said her sister used her name when she was pulled over and cited by California Highway Patrol. The woman was advised to contact the investigating officer with CHP and appear at her sister's court dates if necessary.

12:20 p.m., La Grange - A man said a 66-year-old person, who he has a restraining order against, just drove by his house on Avenida Lugo South and flipped him off.

2:34 p.m., East Sonora - An Oakland Raiders fleece blanket was stolen at a business on Mono Way. A nearby bank had video surveillance of the suspect.

3:38 p.m., Jamestown - The back window on woman's car was broken while she was in a business on Chicken Ranch Road.

3:48 p.m., La Grange - A woman on Navarro Street thinks her neighbor stole her dog.

5:32 a.m., Sonora - Jacob Elijah Hamilton, 36, no permanent address, was booked on suspicion of robbery and drug possession, after an arrest on the Dragoon Gulch Trail.

7:54 p.m., Groveland - Jerry Lee Jones, 49, of the 9000 block of Smith Station Road, are booked on suspicion of damaging a telephone or power line, after an arrest at his home.

8:23 p.m., Sonora area - Laura Marie Horak, 24, of the 3400 block of Cascade Creek Avenue, Merced, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and a misdemeanor charge of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, after an arrest at Highway 49 and Rawhide Road.

9 p.m., Sonora area - Thomas Frederick Ritter, 24, of the 22600 block of Golf Club Drive, Twain Harte, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at Highway 49 and Rawhide Road.
