Accident near Parrotts Ferry bridge

Emergency crews are responding to a motor vehicle accident on Parrotts Ferry Road near the Parrotts Ferry Bridge in Columbia.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the northbound lane of Parrotts Ferry is blocked as fire crews perform a rope rescue. The call came in at 10:15 a.m., according to the CHP. The vehicle is located approximately 40 feet over the side of the embankment, according to the incident report, with unknown injuries.
