Major injury accident

An accident in Chinese Camp caused major injuries today, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP reports that a pickup truck and a Mercedes sport utillity vehicle collided head-on about 2:19 p.m. The accident occurred near the intersection of Highway 49 and Highway 120.

According to an initial accident report, the accident resulted in major injures, and ambulance and fire engine crews responded to the scene. No other information was available as of 3:15 p.m. this afternoon.
