Two killed in crash on Hwy 108

Two Tuolumne residents were killed in an auto wreck Sunday morning west of Jamestown, according to California Highway Patrol.

A three-vehicle accident took place about 7 a.m. at Highway 108 at La Grange Road.

A driver from Manteca traveling east about 55 mph in a Chevy Silverado apparently crossed the double yellow lines for unknown reasons and struck a Chevrolet Cavalier going west head-on, the CHP said.

Jason Reavis, 34, and Evonne Bravo, 29, both of Tuolumne, were declared dead at the scene. Reavis was driving the Cavalier with Bravo as his passenger, the report said.

A Ford Explorer driven by a Sonora resident was travelling behind the Cavalier and was struck by the Cavalier as it spun.

The Manteca and Sonora drivers suffered moderate injuries but refused medical transport, the report said.

No other details were available this morning.
