Highway 120 to open

Austen Thibault, The Union Democrat /

After nearly three weeks of closure, Highway 120 will reopen at noon today, allowing traffic back into Yosemite National Park.

Visitors can access Yosemite Valley, however, stopping along the highway is prohibited.

"The public is advised to use extreme caution as firefighting activities continue in this area," states a news release from park officials.

Cherry Lake Road, Evergreen Road, Old Yosemite Road, Hardin Flat Road and all other secondary roads and trailheads off Highway 120 remain closed.

Highway 120, known as Tioga Road within the park, remains closed from Crane Flat to White Wolf.
