The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


12:43 a.m., fight - About six people were involved in a fight in a parking lot on the 800 block of Sanguinetti Road. Some involved were youths, released to guardians and no charges were pressed.

9:12 a.m., suspicious circumstances - A man was reportedly seen using a screwdriver on a soda machine on the 700 block of East Mono Way.

12:49 p.m., threats - Someone said a man made "terrorist threats" to him on the first block of South Washington Street.

1:23 p.m., disturbance - A man was removed from a business on the 600 block of South Washington Street after reportedly causing a disturbance and refusing to leave.

4:05 p.m., public intoxication - A man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public after a woman reported him drunk on her front porch on Sanguinetti Road.

5:07 p.m., fraud - A woman reportedly tried to pick up a prescription fraudulently on Greenley Road.

7:44 p.m., Sonora - Someone reported a possible fight between three people in the middle of the road on West Stockton Street and Mill Villa Way. They were not found.

9:12 p.m., suspicious person - Someone called in a suspicious man walking up the street and a second caller reported glass breaking in the same area of North Stewart Street and Columbia Way. The man was located and identified and photographed but not charged with any crime.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


8:59 a.m., Sonora - A man reported a fraud attempt on him via phone on the 15200 block of Cavalieri Road. He said someone from India told him he won $2 million and he only had to send $190 to receive it.

9:36 a.m., Sonora - Someone heard a gunshot along with a man and woman yelling on the 5200 block of Llanura Drive. The caller also said a small child is at the residence.

9:37 a.m., Sonora area - A man said he accidentally gave control of his computer to a scammer on the 14100 block of Tuolumne Road. He said someone claiming to work for Windows operating system said he had a virus and needed to pay between $39 and $300 to have the computer fixed. He said he is not out any money but the computer needs to be rebooted.

10:26 a.m., Sonora area - Someone requested a deputy to look at paperwork to identify a possible scam from the 21400 block of Ridgeview Drive.

11:45 a.m., Columbia - Five men were reportedly smoking marijuana in a red pickup and black Jeep near the entrance to the Gold Springs housing development on the 22300 block of Parrotts Ferry Road.

11:57 a.m., Tuolumne - A woman said a week's worth of methadone pills were taken from her kitchen counter on the 18400 block of Tuolumne Road.

12:26 p.m., Columbia - Theft was reported from three unlocked vehicles on the 22800 block of School House Road.

3:54 p.m., Groveland - Someone reported the fraudulent use of a check card number on the 19600 block of Cottonwood Street.

4:03 p.m., Sonora area - A woman in the process of moving said she noticed things missing while unpacking on the 23800 block of Pack Trail Road.

5:52 p.m., Sonora - A man fired an employee and later noticed his car had been keyed on the 18900 block of Industry Way.

6:43 p.m., Groveland - Someone said two men were in a argument involving threats to a landlord which resulted in a damaged camper shell on the 11800 block of Powderhouse Street.

6:50 p.m., Jamestown - A woman said her adult daughter pushed her around after the mother took her son-in-law's side in an argument on the 10200 block of Preston Lane.

7:10 p.m., Tuolumne - Someone was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and violation of probation after a disturbance on the 18900 block of Carter Street.

7:19 p.m., Twain Harte - Someone's dog was reportedly attacked by another dog while on a walk at Twain Harte Middle School on Manzanita Drive.

7:30 p.m., Sonora area - Someone called in concern for a man he hasn't heard from in a few days who said his motorcycle was stolen and he wanted to "take it into his own hands," on the 18100 block of Tinnin Road.

7:34 p.m., Sonora - A woman said she was knocked down by a dog that escaped its leash at Covey and Chukar circles.

7:59 p.m., Sonora area - Someone reportedly went into someone's house, punched a hole in a wall and covered it with a picture on the 16600 block of Allison Way.

9:25 p.m., Columbia - An officer was called to a disturbance involving a man reportedly pulling a woman around by the arm on the 22200 block of Parrotts Ferry Road. The officer instead found a man lying in the dirt and booked him on suspicion of being drunk in public.

10:56 p.m., Twain Harte area - A man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public at Mount Provo and Confidence roads.

11:53 p.m., Twain Harte - A man reported a prowler snooping around his cars on the 23400 block of Mountain Drive. The person ran away after the man yelled at him.


1:10 a.m., Tuolumne - Someone reported second-hand information of "two guys walking around" Ponderosa Way and Canyonview Drive. One woman was arrested.

1:19 a.m., Sonora - A vehicle reportedly failed to yield to an officer when it was driving fast on North Washington Street. The officer found it parked at Theall and Stewart streets and a man laying down inside was arrested under suspicion of being drunk in public.

3:03 a.m., Sonora area - A woman said a husky man with a beard and gray hair was looking in her window at her on the 21800 block of Belleview Road.

4:41 a.m., Sonora area - A man said six horses crashed through his fence and are now in the roadway on the 20400 block of Jamestown Road. Later calls tracked them to Racetrack and Ratto roads.

Felony bookings:


2 p.m., Sonora - Dustin Mark Freitas, 36, no address given, was booked on suspicion of robbery, burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism and violation of parole after an arrest on the 300 block of Stockton Road.

10:21 p.m., Columbia - Michael Kenneth Mac Kern, 21, of the 22800 block of Bigler Street, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest at Parrotts Ferry Road and Howser Lane.

12:34 a.m., Sonora - Colton Charles Myers Jr., 22, of the 9100 block of North Ranchero Road, was booked after an arrest at South Stewart and Lytton streets.

9:57 p.m., Tuolumne area - Lauren Kathleen Howey, 30, of the 2900 block of Floyd Avenue, Twain Harte, was booked after an arrest at Soulsbyville and Tuolumne roads.

8:48 a.m., San Andreas - Someone reported a suspicious man walking with a blanket and a cigarette on the 100 block of Main Street.

9:39 a.m., Murphys - Someone reported items missing from their garage within an unknown time frame on Mitchler Avenue.

9:42 a.m., Burson - Someone reported a man who was once allowed to cut wood on property has continued to return without permission on Southworth Road.

10:55 a.m., San Andreas - An argument was reported on the 800 block of Mountain Ranch Road.

11:40 a.m., Copperopolis - An unwanted love note was spray-painted onto asphalt near a business on the 3500 block of Spangler Lane.

12:37 p.m., San Andreas - A teenager reportedly yelled obscenities at a citizen and deputy on Mountain Ranch Road.

1:49 p.m., Copperopolis - A report was taken for identity theft on Buckboard Drive.

2 p.m., Valley Springs - A man with no identification or papers reportedly knocked on someone's door and gave them tips on savings for gas and electric bills on McCauley Road.

7:27 p.m., Mountain Ranch - A former resident reportedly trespassed a property on Mountain Ranch Road.

10:46 p.m., Railroad flat - Someone was arrested after a reported scam attempt on Ridge Road.


4:25 a.m., Valley Springs - A reported was taken for a disturbance at a residence on Botfuher Road.

12:35 a.m., Angels Camp - Kevin Aloygius Baxter, 39, of the 700 block of Mauna Kea Drive, Arnold, was booked after an arrest at Highway 49 and Copello Drive.

4 p.m., San Andreas - Peter Russell Sloniker, 37, of the 1100 block of Bret Harte Road, Angels Camp, was booked after an arrest on the 10 block of East Saint Charles Street.
