Rim Fire: Day 6 update

The Rim Fire burning since Saturday in Southern Tuolumne County nearly tripled in size between reports Wednesday morning and today, consuming more than 53,000 acres of brush, pine and oak in the Tuolumne and Clavey river canyons and various nearby ridges. It's also burned two homes and seven outbuildings south of Buck Meadows.
