The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


5:17 a.m., domestic violence - Sonora police officers and Tuolumne County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call about domestic violence on South Sonora Avenue. A woman was interviewed, but the man involved was not found.

8:06 a.m., drugs - Someone thought drugs were being cooked on Leonards Addition Road. Officers said the area was OK.

8:58 a.m., traffic violations - A woman was cited and released on suspicion of driving with a suspended license, driving without all passengers wearing seat belts and not complying with a peace officer's orders on West Stockton Road.

10:11 a.m., traffic accidents - A second-hand report was taken on Fairview Lane for a man hit by a car the day before.

11:03 a.m., vandalism - A business sign was damaged between Aug. 7 and 8, someone reported on West Stockton Street.

11:08 a.m., animal complaints - An aggressive dog at large was reported on Lower Sunset Drive. The dog or its owner were not located.

12:54 p.m., drugs - Someone reported people smoking marijuana in a black SUV on West Bradford Avenue. Officers were unable to locate them.

1:14 p.m., disorderly conduct - A man reportedly grabbed a woman's basket and yelled at her in a business on the 600 block of South Washington Street.

2:08 p.m., harassment - Someone complained of a co-worker's ex-girlfriend making harassing calls to a business on the 300 block of South Washington Street.

11:25 p.m., domestic dispute - A woman said she was in a physical altercation with her adult son, but was not injured and did not want to press charges. Officers confirmed the circumstances on North Shepherd Street.

9:08 a.m., Jamestown - Someone reported an argument over marijuana on Seventh Street.

9:48 a.m., Tuolumne - A girl was in an argument with her mother, who was reportedly trying to take her phone away and "being stupid" on Pine Street.

10:33 a.m., Big Oak Flat - A cell phone was reported stolen out of a post office box on Highway 120.

11:11 a.m., Sonora - A woman on Haystack Road sent money to a fraudulent business which had sent her an email stating she could cash a check and send some of the money back.

11:22 a.m., Jamestown - A man was arrested on an alcohol-related disorderly conduct charge after someone said he threatened to kill people on the 18300 block of Highway 108.

11:39 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village - Someone reported a homeless man living in a vacant lot at Sugar Pine Cutoff and Sugar Pine Road.

12:11 p.m., Columbia - A man reported his 27-year-old son missing since Aug. 7 on North Airport Road.

12:27 p.m., Jamestown - Vandalism was reported on Preston Lane.

12:59 p.m., Sonora - A woman said someone is digging without permission on her property on Red Chestnut Lane. Officers concluded the property managers are installing a new retaining wall.

1:24 p.m., Tuolumne - A woman said her youth daughter ran away sometime last night on Main Street. She is in contact with her via text messages but she refused to come home. She is believed to be with her boyfriend.

1:40 p.m., Sonora - Someone requested a dog be "quarantined" on Serrano Road.

1:45 p.m., Sonora area - A possible burglary was reported on Phoenix Lake Road. An officer could not determine if entry was made, but said the house was secure.

1:57 p.m., Jamestown - Someone reportedly received threats on Seventh Street for previously calling the police on someone.

2:14 p.m., Jamestown - A man reportedly took his wife's son, headed to Oakdale, after a disturbance involving being evicted on Preston Lane.

4:43 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village - A man said a window on a backhoe was shot with a pellet gun on Pine Lake Drive. He said the small pellet splintered the safety glass. He thought a neighbor may have been trying to scare a deer away.

4:44 p.m., Tuolumne - A gas-powered air compressor was reported stolen on Yosemite Road.

7:38 p.m., Tuolumne - A flat screen TV was stolen from a home burglarized on Madrone Street.

8:29 p.m., Jamestown - A minor was cited on suspicion of possessing alcohol after someone complained a group of minors were causing trouble at Rocca Park on Main and Smoke streets.

8:38 p.m., Jamestown - A man refused to talk and walked away into some brush after a disturbance on Main Street.

8:41 p.m., Sonora area - Theft was reported on Spanish Grant Drive.

10:27 p.m., Jamestown - Someone requested a patrol check after a man and woman were in an argument at Main Street and Highway 108. The man apologized to the caller, then wasn't seen again.

11:07 p.m., Jamestown - Some minors were returned to their parents after someone reported a party with alcohol on Preston Lane.

4:46 p.m., Sonora - Dixie Lea Carrier, 62, of the 20900 block of Flume Drive, was booked after an arrest at Stewart and Gold streets.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


8:11 a.m., Jenny Lind - A man and woman were fighting the night before on Lone Oak Drive, a caller said. The woman left and returned in the morning to find the gate locked. She rammed the gate and totaled her vehicle, the caller said.

9:35 a.m., Railroad Flat - A disturbance was reported involving machinery allegedly blocking the roadway on West Forty Road.

9:59 a.m., San Andreas - Medication was reported stolen on the 400 block of East Saint Charles Street.

10:41 a.m., Burson - Someone arrested the night before under suspicion of public intoxication is back and drunk again on Wade Lane, a caller said.

10:49 a.m., Jenny Lind - A Shelton front-loader may have been taken on Highway 26.

10:54 a.m., Campo Seco - Gunshots were reported near Arkansas Ferry Road.

11:35 a.m., Valley Springs - A check was reported stolen on Highway 26.

4:24 p.m., Valley Springs - Theft of alcohol was reported on Vista Del Lago West. It was recovered.

6:20 p.m., Arnold - Two callers reported an argument near Venado and Pine drives.

7:16 p.m., West Point - An argument was reported on Spink Road.

9:59 p.m., San Andreas - Someone said women were yelling at each other for the last hour on Gold Strike Road.

11:45 p.m., Angels Camp - Gunshots were reported near Brush and Pine streets.


12:14 a.m., Avery - Three gunshots or explosions were reported near Moran Road.

12:40 a.m., Valley Springs - Several gunshots were reported near Hartvickson Lane and Rippon Road.

7:13 a.m., San Andreas - Someone kicked in a door on a vehicle and took money from it on Serra Trail.

9:32 a.m., Valley Springs - Diana Lynn Pishos, 52, of the 8900 block of Lone Oak Drive, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse after an arrest at her home.
