The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


6:44 a.m., public intoxication - A woman said a man has been drinking in her home since yesterday and she wants him to leave.

7:59 a.m., theft - Jewelry was reported missing from a home on Oak Street.

8:41 a.m., suspicious person - Someone reported a transient sleeping in Coffill Park on South Washington Street.

9:29 a.m., animal complaints - Someone said his or her daughter's cat was chased the day before by the neighbor's dog, which knocked over the fence on North Shepherd Street. The person called to report the dog at large.

1:19 p.m., public intoxication - A man was arrested after reportedly following two girls downtown while he was drinking. He was arrested for disorderly conduct and having an open container on the 100 block of North Washington Street.

4:42 p.m., pedestrian check - A warning was given to three people for a leash law violation at Rotary Park on Woods Creek Drive.

5:20 p.m., domestic violence - A man was arrested for battery after his girlfriend told police he choked her earlier in the day on the Greenley Road.

7:31 a.m., suspicious circumstances - Someone said they heard something like firecrackers near Cassina High School on South Barretta Street. Nothing was found by police.

9:02 p.m., disorderly conduct - Someone said a man with an unleashed pit bull was trying to start fights at a business on the 100 block of West Stockton Street. Officers determined it was only an argument, but he was warned about his unleashed dog.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


9:16 a.m., Twain Harte - Someone said a bush was pulled out of a planter box on the 22900 block of Twain Harte Drive. The caller also said about one month ago, a flower planter was stolen from outside. Extra patrol in the area was requested.

9:20 a.m., Twain Harte - A woman said she was pushed down by another woman during an argument and if it continues she will "run her down." Neither parties wanted to press charges on the 18400 block of Marquis Drive.

10:06 a.m., Twain Harte - Screaming and yelling was reported on the 18400 block of Marquis Drive. Someone was upset and yelling to vent her frustration.

10:54 a.m., Soulsbyville - Someone stole three bases on the baseball field on Willow Springs Drive.

11:16 a.m., Twain Harte - Two women reportedly received treatment for assault wounds suffered at Joaquin Gully Road and Meadow Drive.

11:20 a.m., Crystal Falls - Someone was concerned about a neighbor's garage door being open for the last four days on the 22100 block of Feather River Drive. The person said they only leave it open when they are working on the yard and no one answers the door when knocked on.

11:46 a.m., Soulsbyville - Prescription pain medication was reported stolen on the 20300 block of Sherry Court. The caller said he left the door unlocked overnight and his mother heard it open at some point.

12:09 p.m., Sonora - suspicious circumstances were reported at a business on the 1000 block of Greenley Road.

12:17 p.m., Jamestown - A wallet was returned to a tourist who lost it, but allegedly missing $50, on the 18200 block of Main Street.

12:41 p.m., Big Oak Flat - A woman said a neighbor made unwanted sexual advances the night before on the 11300 block of Ward Ferry Road. She wanted to document that he entered her residence without permission.

1:15 p.m., Sonora area - A light blue 1992 Ford Escort was reported stolen when the caller was gone from the 8800 block of Wilcox Ranch Road.

2:40 p.m., Columbia - A woman reported two unauthorized charges on her card on the 24100 block of Italian Bar Road. It did not say what kind of card and she said she would call back.

2:42 p.m., Jamestown - Someone said they were just rear-ended by a '60s model orange pickup that drove away eastbound from Main Street and Highway 108.

3:12 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village - Someone reported that one man and two youths just shoplifted and he has pictures of them on the 24900 block of Highway 108.

4:19 p.m., Sonora area - A man reported trespassing by someone who was doing what he believed was unsatisfactory work and returned to his property without permission on the 18400 block of Pradera Real Road.

5:32 p.m., Strawberry - A tent was reported stolen at Mill Creek Campground at Highway 108 and Forest Road 5N21.

5:36 p.m., Long Barn - Someone said they found upon returning home the door was unlocked and doors left shut inside were found open on the 26500 block of Crystal Road.

6:30 p.m., Tuolumne - During a first call, a man just said "You better get over here," and when called back said neighbors were in an argument and hung up again on the 20100 block of Tuolumne Road North.

7:09 p.m., Sonora area - A man said someone who did work for him has been harassing him after he cancelled the job on the 24100 block of Oxbow Lane North. He believed the worker stole beer and a plastic gas can from him. The worker admitted to leaving messages that were "not nice" but denied taking anything. He said he is going to return the next day to apologize for the messages and pick up his property.

7:13 p.m., East Sonora - A man said he was assaulted by a neighbor after Child Welfare Services took both of their children on the 19500 block of Serrano Road. He will seek a restraining order.

8:01 p.m., Jamestown - A man admitted to losing his roommate's money order for $550 on the 10300 block of Preston Lane. They opened a claim with the company it came from and documented the loss with police.

9:07 p.m., Jamestown - A woman said she is concerned about people outside that want to confront her about another criminal matter. Multiple cars parked in front of her home and she thought she heard voices outside and clicks that sounded like gun clips on the 10100 block of Peppermint Circle. No one was found outside.

9:28 p.m., Don Pedro area - Kids were shooting pellet guns at a raccoon near a man's campsite on the 10200 block of Bonds Flat Road.

9:41 p.m., Groveland - Someone reported a fire on the 20200 block of Pleasant View Drive.

9:50 p.m., Jamestown area - Someone was concerned for motorcyclists because several spots of fresh asphalt were still sticky around O'Byrnes Ferry Road and Highway 108.

10:45 p.m., Jamestown - Someone was arrested for local warrants on drug and theft charges and failing to appear in court at Preston Lane and Seco Road.


7:24 a.m., Big Oak Flat - Someone said a pack of cigarettes was stolen from a display case at a business on the 17500 block of Highway 120. It was caught on camera.

8 a.m., Twain Harte - Curtis Benjamin Hults, 62, of the 24300 block of Italian Bar Road, was booked on suspicion of child sex charges after an arrest on the 23000 block of Fuller Road.

10:10 a.m., Sonora area - Joshua Christopher Watkins, 35, of the 13700 block of Kinkaid Flat Road, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence with three or more prior DUIs and a felony conviction and misdemeanor hit-and-run with property damage and resisting an officer after an arrest at Highway 49 and Rawhide Road.

8:39 a.m., San Andreas - An altercation was reported on Pope Street.

10:29 a.m., Valley Springs area - Someone said a man was causing a disturbance at Lake Camanche, near the Arrowhead campground.

10:42 a.m., Valley Springs - The caller said he or she doesn't like a neighbor posting signs on Barbour Road.

12:18 p.m., Murphys - Someone reported a suspicious hitchhiker at Highway 4 and Big Trees Road.

12:56 p.m., Mountain Ranch - Burglar was reported on Ponderosa Way.

2:54 p.m., Copperopolis - A wallet was either lost or stolen at a business on Spangler Lane.

3:36 p.m., San Andreas - Staff found a baggy with white powder residue inside at a business on Gold Hunter Road.

3:47 p.m., Vallecito - A "substantial amount of drug paraphernalia and personal property" was found at Natural Bridges hiking trail.

4:12 p.m., Valley Springs - An argument over a broken television was reported on Bullion Hill Road.

4:42 p.m., Arnold - Someone reported a suspicious vehicle parked below a structure on Patricia Lane.

5:12 p.m., Avery - Car keys were reported stolen on Moran Road.

8:53 p.m., Burson - People were possibly smoking an illegal substance in front of a residence and partially blocking the roadway said someone on Fitzgerald Road.

9:31 p.m., Jenny Lind - An argument between people in vehicles was reported at Highway 26 and Milton Road.

9:50 p.m., Murphys - It sounded like someone was shooting at the end of Darby Russell Road.


4:34 a.m., Paloma - Someone said voices were heard outside and dogs are barking on Gwin Street. Patrol was requested.

5:23 a.m., Paloma - Dogs were barking and one was bleeding and may have been shot, someone said on Gwin Street.

1:12 a.m., Arnold - Mark Thomas Wilhelm, 20, of the 500 block of Dean Way, was booked after an arrest at Moran Road and Flanders Drive.

12:08 p.m., Valley Springs - Carl Riley Williams Jr., 64, of the 100 block of Laurel Street, was booked after an arrest on the 100 block of Laurel Street.
