The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


2:52 p.m., Copperopolis - Items were stolen from a truck on Little John Road.

3:15 p.m., Valley Springs - Tools were stolen from a garage on Demin Court.

6:40 p.m., Copperopolis - Someone said there was a possible prowler in a house on Beaver Court.

Felony bookings


12:28 p.m., San Andreas - Jay David Hopwood, 19, of the 200 block of Hathaway Place, was booked on suspicion of first-degree burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiring to commit crime, after an arrest on the 200 block of Toyanza Court.

2:30 p.m., San Andreas - Amber Dea Nolan, 53, of the 4900 block of East Old Emigrant Trail, Mountain Ranch, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at the Calaveras County Probation Department on Mountain Ranch Road.

6:19 p.m., Mountain Ranch - Joseph Byron Hodson, 24, of the 6100 block of Quartz Mine Road, was booked on suspicion of possession of concentrated marijuana and misdemeanor counts of driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol and possession of marijuana while driving, after an arrest at Railroad Flat Road and Old Emigrant Trail.


The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


5 a.m., animal complaints - A deer was hit in the roadway at Mono Way and South Barretta Street but was still alive. The deer was "dispatched" by patrol officers.

12:36 p.m., theft - Unknown suspects took items from a business on South Washington Street on Wednesday.

3:17 p.m., harassment - A woman on East Lyons Street said she spoke to a chaplain for advice and the chaplain has now taken an interest in her and was calling, texting and stopping by her residence unannounced. An officer spoke to the woman about the restraining order process.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


8:43 a.m., Sonora area - Numerous tools and automotive parts were stolen from a carport at a residence on the 15100 block of Cavalieri Road.

1:24 p.m., Jamestown - A man said a stereo and stereo equipment were stolen from his unlocked white Toyota Celica sometime overnight on the 10200 block of Preston Lane.

3:58 p.m., East Sonora - A woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting after she was seen trying to remove tags from items and conceal them at a business on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

7:54 p.m., Pinecrest - A search-and-rescue team responded to Pinecrest Lake for reports of a missing 43-year-old man. The man later contacted family members and told them he hitchhiked from the reservoir to his father's residence.

Felony bookings:


1:34 a.m., Sonora - Russell Wayne Robinson, 49, of the 9800 block of Danelle Court, Delhi, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, a probation violation and bringing drugs into jail, after an arrest at Mountain Shadow Cemetery.

2:01 a.m., Sonora - Steven Victor Spearman, 58, of the 400 block of Locust Street, Turlock, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at Mountain Shadow Cemetery.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


2:07 a.m., Sonora area - Creed Elam Howard, 36, of the 16500 block of Stent Cut Off Road, Jamestown, was arrested at Highway 49 and Rawhide Road.

5:53 p.m., Sonora - David Anthony Lagone, 27, of the 10300 block of Preston Lane, Jamestown, was cited on suspicion of riding a bicycle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, after an arrest at Stockton Road and Woods Creek Drive.
