The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


2:07 p.m., trespassing - A 51-year-old woman was cited on suspicion of trespassing after she entered her neighbor's apartment on South Stewart Street and refused to leave.


1:42 p.m., suspicious circumstances - A business on Old Wards Ferry Road said that an employee was determined to be unfit for work due to intoxication and then left in his own vehicle. Officers checked the area but the man was gone on arrival. A be-on-the-lookout advisory for his vehicle was issued to the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office and California Highway Patrol.

1:54 p.m., parking citation - Someone was given a parking ticket for backing into a stall at a non-operational business on South Stewart Street.

6:11 p.m., found property - Someone found marijuana in a room at a hotel on South Washington Street. The property was collected by police and booked into evidence for destruction.

9:19 p.m., suspicious circumstances - People in a large white truck were setting off fireworks near the pool at Sonora High School. Officers located the suspects but no fireworks.


4:57 a.m., threats - Someone threatened an employee at a business on Mono Way after being denied access to the phone. Officers checked the area but could not locate the suspect.

11:55 a.m., disturbance - A woman said firecrackers were being set off behind her residence on Otis Street. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate anything suspicious.

11:57 a.m., animal complaints - A dog was locked in Volkswagen Beetle parked outside a business on Stockton Road. Officers arrived and determined the dog was not in distress.

5:17 p.m., animal complaints - An officer located a dog in a vehicle in a parking lot at a business on Sanguinetti Road. The vehicle left the scene while the officer went inside the store to locate the owner.

7:49 p.m., disturbance - Residents at a house on South Sonora Avenue said people at an adjacent home were setting off fireworks and partying. Officers checked the area but no fireworks were seen or heard.

9:03 p.m., parking citation - An officer issued a parking citation on Southgate Drive for a vehicle facing the wrong way.

9:40 p.m., traffic citation - A driver was cited on suspicion of a stop sign violation after being pulled over on South Washington Street. The driver was also warned for failing to use a turn signal.

10:08 p.m., weapons violations - Someone at a business on Rose Street heard approximately 20 rounds shot from a firearm or fireworks being set off in the area. Officer were unable to locate anything suspicious.


12:14 a.m., public intoxication - A 50-year-old man was booked into Tuolumne County Jail on suspicion of public intoxication after an arrest on West Stockton Road. He was also booked on two local misdemeanor warrants.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


1:47 a.m., Columbia - A resident of the 27300 block of Italian Bar Road said two men and a woman were breaking into one of her sheds about 10 feet from her bedroom window.

4:56 a.m., Jamestown - Someone saw a man in a small red pickup who was connecting a hose to a fire hydrant at Fourth Avenue and Antone Street.

8:05 a.m., Jamestown - A woman's 1995 Toyota 4-Runner was broken into the previous night at the bridge on O'Byrnes Ferry Road and a cell phone, stereo, CD player, wallet and other items were stolen. A large rock had been thrown through the driver's side window.

9:25 a.m., Sonora area - A woman said her purse was taken from her residence on the 18300 Toyon Way.

1:47 p.m., Groveland - A woman said she was kicked in the face by another woman at Deer Flat Road and Highway 120.

4:19 p.m., Sonora area - Someone was being held in custody at a business on Mono Way on suspicion of shoplifting.

7:09 p.m., Twain Harte - A man claimed another man who was extremely intoxicated assaulted him at his home on the 22800 block of Black Hawk Drive.

9:20 p.m., Columbia - A woman said her laptop was stolen the previous day and a GPS-tracking app on her cell phone showed it on State Street.


7:52 a.m., Sonora area - A man said clothing and cigarettes had been stolen from his residence on the 22600 block of Wildcat Ridge Road.

8:57 a.m., Sonora area - A man on the 19300 block of Hillsdale Road said his grandchildren saw someone with a flashlight trying to get in the front door the previous night about 11:30 p.m.

11:32 a.m., Sonora area - A man purchased a bottle of whiskey at a business on Restano Way and was seen drinking from it as he drove away east on Mono Way.

12:47 p.m., Sonora area - A 1998 Ford Ranger was broken into on the 18400 block of Pradera Real Road and an iPod along with $60,000 worth of GPS equipment was stolen.

8:34 p.m., Tuolumne - Children found a medication bottle containing marijuana and hydrocodone pills, along with a pack of rolling papers, at a playground on the 18400 block of Tuolumne Road. A Sheriff's deputy located the owner, who had a valid prescription, and lectured him about his drugs being found by children in the area.

7:28 p.m., Twain Harte - Andy John Cranstoun, 43, of the 18800 block of Manzanita Drive, was booked on suspicion of child endangerment, after an arrest on the 18800 block of Manzanita Drive.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


6:28 p.m., Sonora area - Cody Randall Guidry, 24, of the 4000 block of Old Melones Dam Road, Jamestown, was arrested at Wards Ferry and Old Wards Ferry roads.

11:10 p.m., Jamestown area - Steven Martin Machado Moore, 31, unknown address, was arrested on Highway 108.

8:31 a.m., Dorrington - Someone said a vehicle with all of its windows rolled down was parked at Highway 4 and Boards Crossing Road for the past four days.

10:47 a.m., San Andreas - A bicycle was stolen on East St. Charles Street, followed by a report of a physical altercation at the same location 15 minutes later.

11:57 a.m., Angels Camp - A caller advised there was a donkey with no water in a small enclosed field on Dogtown Road.

12:50 p.m., Murphys - Someone said a man was standing in the bushes at Murphys Park on South Algiers Street.

4:59 p.m., Mokelumne Hill - Someone called regarding damage to an automatic gate at a business on Highway 49.

6:41 p.m., Valley Springs - Someone heard shots fired from a large-caliber handgun in the Fiddleneck area.

7:46 p.m., Copperopolis - Someone stole a 3-foot tall hot dog that was in front of a business on McCarthy Street.


3:20 a.m., Mountain Ranch - A man said he had someone "blocked in" under his house on Michel Road.

8:29 a.m., San Andreas - Someone said two children were left in their car seats in a blue or gray car that was parked in a handicapped spot while adults were smoking in the shade. The vehicle was gone upon the arrival of sheriff's deputies at the scene.

10:35 a.m., Angels Camp - Someone reported finding a wedding dress in a box along Highway 4 on Sunday.

12:29 p.m., Rail Road Flat - Someone said two men were spotted in a blue Chevrolet truck about 5 p.m. the previous night on Doe Road. The caller said it is unusual for anyone to be in the area and was worried they were "casing" it.

3:24 p.m., Valley Springs - Someone at apartments on Paradise Peak was being bothered by children who were "making noise" and "jumping off the furniture."

3:31 p.m., Arnold - Six or seven gallons of paint and a pressure washer were stolen from the back of a truck on Maple Street.


12:12 a.m., Mokelumne Hill - Fireworks with aerial bursts were seen south of Highway 49 in the Mokelumne Hill area, possibly near Campo Seco Turnpike. Cal Fire was advised.

12:31 a.m., Valley Springs - Intoxicated people were in a verbal altercation at a mobile home park on Highway 12. An arrest was made on local and out-of-county warrants.

12:49 a.m., Arnold - Someone complained that neighbors on Murphy Drive were having a party and sitting on their back porch playing guitar and singing.

8:28 a.m., Murphys - Someone said there was a "path of destruction" from Main Street leading to Sunny Oaks Court. The caller said an American flag had been thrown on the ground and suspected it had been stolen from the center of Murphys.

10:45 a.m., Copperopolis - A verbal altercation occurred on Lakeshore Court involving a car alarm that was set off on accident when someone spit sunflower seed shells at it.

2:54 p.m., Tulloch Reservoir - A man and his daughter were riding a jet ski in Scorpion Cove when someone threw a can of beer at them. They were not hit, but the man was concerned the person responsible might try to do it again to another boater. He said the person who threw the beer was yelling at him for exceeding the speed limit in a 5 mph zone.

2:04 p.m., San Andreas - A wedding dress in a box was left behind the Calaveras County Government Center on Mountain Ranch Road.

9:33 p.m., Valley Springs - A woman said her boyfriend just left her on the side of the road near a gas station on Nove Way.

9:52 p.m., San Andreas - A business on Main Street said someone was throwing fireworks into the highway.

9:56 p.m., Copperopolis - Someone set off aerial fireworks in the Calypso Beach subdivision.

10:04 p.m., Arnold - Illegal fireworks were being used on Nugget Court.

10:31 p.m., Murphys - Someone at Murphys Historic Hotel on Main Street received several calls of someone setting off cherry bombs.

11:37 p.m., Valley Springs - Someone said there was a prowler in the bushes on Saint Andrews Road.


12:14 a.m., Burson - A cell phone and set of keys were stolen from a vehicle on Wade Lane.

1:23 a.m., San Andreas - Gaming equipment was stolen on Toyanza Drive.

1:29 a.m., Burson - There was a loud party on Wade Lane.

3:54 a.m., Arnold - Someone heard "banging on the doors" at a storage facility on Fir Street. The caller stated it was an ongoing issue and believes people were possibly living in the units.

7:38 a.m., Copperopolis - A woman on Mitchell Lake Court said someone had broken into her house the previous night between 5 and 9 p.m. She discovered the break-in the following morning when she found her TV was "completely turned around" and partially unplugged.

1:39 a.m., Angels Camp - Brad Edward Storck, 36, of the 9300 block of Orangevale Avenue, Orangevale, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, drug transportation and misdemeanor charges of driving with a suspended license and while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, after an arrest at Vallecito and Tryon roads.

1:05 p.m., Mountain Ranch - Richard Allen Kesler Jr., 47, of the 12500 block of Kennedy Flat Road, Jackson, was arrested on the 9200 block of Mountain Ranch Road.


1 p.m., Mokelumne Hill - Joseph Edward Martin, 56, of the 8100 block of South Main Street, was arrested at China Gulch Road and Center Street.
