The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


6:53 a.m., suspicious circumstances - A man was found sleeping next to the Yaney Avenue courthouse.

6:03 p.m., traffic accidents - Someone sustained minor injuries in a vehicle accident on South Washington Street.

7:57 p.m., warrant arrest - A 46-year-old man was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant for burglary, public intoxication and petty theft on the 100 block of Old Wards Ferry Road.

8:19 p.m., vandalism, property damage - Two washing machines at a business on the 700 block of Mono Way were vandalized.


7:01 p.m., suspicious circumstances - A man carrying an infant was walking in the middle of the road on Mono Way. Police were unable to locate him.

8:35 p.m., reckless driving - Police gave a verbal warning to a person who was seen driving recklessly on Gold Street.

10:35 p.m., public intoxication - A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on South Shepherd Street.


7:07 a.m., theft - A man went into his house for taxi fare and never returned on Oak Street. An officer said he came out and paid.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


7:44 a.m., Sonora area - Skis were stolen from a boat on the 20800 block of Crestwood Court.

9:06 a.m., Sonora area - Tools and other items were taken from a pickup truck on the 16200 block of Ridgewood Drive.

1:27 p.m., Sonora area - A man walking along Jamestown Road was wearing cut-off denim shorts that exposed his genitals. The caller said it is an ongoing problem.

3:05 p.m., Sonora area - A mailbox for a home on the 16400 block of Ridgewood Drive was taken off the post and left in a field.

3:55 p.m., Tuolumne - Shoplifting was reported at a business on the 18300 block of Tuolumne Road.

4:25 p.m., Twain Harte - Two saws were stolen from a work shed on the 18400 block of Poppy Terrace.

5:04 p.m., Jamestown - Money was stolen from a cash register at a business on the 9900 block of Victoria Place.


11:37 a.m., Long Barn - A woman said a clay pot and other items were missing from her home on the 21100 block of Lodestone Avenue. She believed her son's ex-girlfriend was responsible. The woman also believed the person killed her flowers.

3:50 p.m., Jamestown - A man said someone appeared to be living in his home on the 9900 block of Candy Falls Court while he was away. The back door had signs of forced entry and small liquor bottles were missing.The man requested documentation only.

5:49 p.m., Columbia - Three bikes were stolen from a residence on the 23000 block of Bald Mountain Road North.

7:27 p.m., Groveland - A 39-year-old man hiked downstream at the Rainbow Pools swimming hole and was unable to hike back up. He was about 150 feet from the top of a waterfall. Cal Fire responded and helped him out of the canyon.


1:10 a.m., Sonora - A woman was woken by someone trying to get into her back window on the 19500 block of Roselyn Lane.

8:24 a.m., Jamestown - An elderly man with a hospital bracelet said he was just released from the hospital and was asking for money for bus fare on the 18100 block of Highway 108. He said he was trying to get a bus ride to Los Banos, but did not want to speak to deputies.

9:56 a.m., Jamestown - Tools were stolen from a pickup truck overnight on the 18700 block of Highway 108.

10:58 a.m., East Sonora - Several vehicles were broken into on the 14500 block of Lolly Lane.

11:55 a.m., Groveland - Someone was assaulted on the 19600 block of Elder Lane. The caller said the victim does not want to press charges.

11:56 a.m., East Sonora - A caller said a suspicious man was asking for gas money on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

12:17 p.m., Sonora - A caller said a motorcyle followed a man from Angels Camp and was doing "laps" as the caller was talking to deputies. The motorcyclist was gone when deputies arrived.

1:02 p.m., Jamestown - A woman said her ex-boyfriend was threatening her via texts and phone calls on Maple Alley and Seventh Street.

2:04 p.m., Sonora - Several items were stolen on the 11500 block of Racetrack Road.

5:06 p.m., Sonora - A woman said her husband, who was drinking and irate, was threatening her and punched a hole in the wall. She said he had been physical with her before and that he had guns locked in the house on the 17399 block of Valley Oak Drive.

6:52 p.m., Crystal Falls - A teenage boy was looking in a woman's house on the 21600 block of American River.

10 p.m., Jamestown - About 10 people were involved in an argument on the 10200 block of Preston Lane. A girlfriend pushed a boyfriend and someone mentioned a gun.

Felony bookings:


1:12 a.m., Columbia - Thomas William Mutzner, 32, of the 11800 block of Yankee Hill Road, was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and battery inflicting serious injury after an arrest at his home.


1:18 p.m., Sonora - Christina Beth Michel, 20, of the 15000 block of Lupine Lane, was booked on suspicion of credit card forgery and drug possession after an arrest at her home.

2:13 p.m., Sonora - Todd Jeffrey Horan, 28, of the 21700 block of Phoenix Lake Road, was booked on suspicion of credit card forgery after an arrest on the 500 block of Orchard Avenue.

10:39 p.m., East Sonora - Ronald Udell Paul, 46, of the 16100 block of Big Hill Road, was booked on suspicion of threatening death or serious bodily injury after an arrest on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

2:20 a.m., Sonora - Brent Michael Snyder, 44, of the 12000 block of Yankee Hill Road, was booked after an arrest on the 100 block of Pesce Way.

9:01 p.m., Soulsbyville - Shannon Lea Fischer, 37, of the 16100 block of Big Hill Road, was booked after an arrest at Soulsbyville Road and Willow Springs Drive.


11:35 p.m., Sonora - Lawrence Charles Rodriguez, 50, of the 700 block of Barretta Street, was booked after an arrest at his home.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


10:28 a.m., West Point - Theft was reported at a residence on Lily Gap Road.

11:28 a.m., Angels Camp - A vehicle was vandalized at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds.

12:54 p.m., Glencoe - Theft of large boulders was reported on Independence Road. The caller was given the number for the U.S. Forest Service.

3:38 p.m., Vallecito - A recycling and disposal station on Red Hill Road was burglarized.

4:49 p.m., San Andreas - A person who reported an assault was being treated at Mark Twain Medical Center's emergency department.

8:40 p.m., Burson - Items were stolen from a vehicle on Wade Lane.


7:03 a.m., Angels Camp - Foxes chased and pinned a dog on Live Oak Drive.

9 a.m., Vallecito - Items were stolen from outside a business on Highway 4.

12:25 p.m., Copperopolis - Jewelry was stolen from a store on Town Square Road.

2:41 p.m., Valley Springs - Theft was reported at a residence on Crestview Drive.

8:38 p.m., Valley Springs - Theft was reported on Jensen Court.

9:36 p.m., Arnold - A man was "Dumpster diving at a business" on Blagen Road.


3:27 a.m., Valley Springs - Battery was reported on Berkesey Drive.

11:05 a.m., San Andreas - A suspicious person was seen on Highway 49.

12:32 p.m., Valley Springs - A disturbance occurred on Chestnut and California streets.

2:18 p.m., Railroad Flat - A burglary occurred on Liberty Hill Road.

8:26 p.m., Copperopolis - A report was taken for suspicious circumstances on Snowbird Court.

11:38 p.m., Copperopolis - Several calls came in about a man sleeping next to the roadway on East Saint Charles Street. Deputies said he was OK.

Felony bookings:


9:05 a.m., West Point - Levi James Brent Parrish, 20, of the 200 block of Bouvard Street, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor driving with a suspended license after an arrest on Main and Pine streets.


10:22 a.m., Camp Connell - Thomas Richard Manning, no listed address, was booked on suspicion of second-degree burglary, receiving known stolen property and vandalism after an arrest on the 4000 block of Highway 4.

9 a.m., San Andreas - Desiree Michelle Butera, of the 100 block of Main Street, was booked after an arrest in the Sheriff's Department lobby. She was also booked on suspicion of obstructing an officer.

8:18 p.m., Valley Springs - Melissa Nanette Brown, 41, of the 100 block of Laurel Street, was booked after an arrest on Highway 12 and Cedar Street. She was also booked on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs.


12:47 p.m., Angels Camp - Samuel Peter Liashenko, 41, of the 1800 block of Bradshaw Road, Sacramento, was booked after an arrest at North Main Street and Dogtown Road. He was also booked on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs and driving with a suspended license.

4:15 p.m., West Point - Thomas Michael Sousa, 19, of the 7000 block of Engle Wood Avenue, Stockton, was booked with enhancements for prior DUIs after an arrest at Main and Pine streets.
