The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


10:40 a.m., assault - An officer transported a youth from a grandparent's house on South Barretta Street to another grandparent's house in Jamestown after an altercation between the youth and grandparent.

5:39 p.m., traffic citation - A drivers was cited for speeding on Snell Street.

9:40 p.m., traffic citation - Citations were given for a defective windshield or rear window and diving without proof of insurance.


12:17 p.m., suspicious vehicle - A suspicious vehicle was called in for driving around Morning Star Drive then parking in an empty lot. Police concluded the vehicle was OK.

2:09 p.m., traffic accident - Someone hit a parked car and fled the scene from Greenley Road.

2:50 p.m., animal complaint - A cat had been injured weeks ago and not yet cared for on Pesce Way. The owner was contacted and said the cat would be taken to the veterinarian that day.

4:03 p.m., traffic accident - A caller on South Washington Street received minor injuries as a passenger in an unreported accident one week ago.

4:20 p.m., traffic accident - Police assisted exchange of information after a driver hit a parked car on Sanguinetti Road and did not want to exchange information.

6:27 p.m., reckless driving - Police were unable to locate a driver who was spinning doughnuts in a parking lot on School Street.

7:02 p.m., suspicious circumstances - A bus driver advised that a suitcase was left at the bus stop bench with no one around. It was deemed under a value of $50 and disposed of.

7:49 p.m., reckless driving - Police were unable to locate a vehicle that "burned rubber" in front of a business and turned around and did it again on North Washington Street.

8:29 p.m., trespassing - A woman was arrested for trespassing after causing a disturbance in a business on South Washington Street.

11:49 p.m., disturbance - A woman was causing a disturbance at a business on South Washington Street.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


9:22 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village - Fraudulent charges on a credit card were called in from the 24100 block of White Fir Drive.

10:54 a.m., Sonora area - A man said his computer was hacked on 21500 block of Crestview Drive.

11:08 a.m., East Sonora - Someone found bones near Rail Fence and Highway 108 and would like to determine if they are animal or human.

3:04 p.m., Columbia - A rifle and pills were stolen from an unlocked travel trailer on the 12400 block of Big Hill Road.

4:30 p.m., Jamestown - A burglary occurred on the 18700 block of Highway 108.

6:12 p.m., Strawberry - A young woman and her siblings went hiking four hours ago and had not returned to the 28600 block of Herring Creek Lane.

7:04 p.m., Jamestown - A homeless woman was sleeping in someone's back yard on the 18400 block of Jamestown Road.

7:05 p.m., Twain Harte - A man and woman were yelling and throwing things around on the 18800 block of Holly Drive.

7:58 p.m., Tuolumne - Someone on a walk noticed a kitten in a birdcage hanging from a tree with no food or water on the 18600 block of Maple Avenue. The owner was contacted and explained the kitten is a well-cared-for indoor cat that just likes to watch the sunset in its cage.

10:05 p.m., Jamestown - Officers were unable to locate a drunk teenage boy yelling and screaming in a field on 10300 block of Preston Lane.


12:23 a.m., Jamestown - A man and a woman may be in a struggle after the woman allegedly hurt the man's animals near Highway 108 and Stockton Street. Officers were unable to make contact.

11:09 a.m., Sonora area - Heather Daisy Asquith, 19, of the 22600 block of Wildcat Ridge Road, was booked on suspicion of threatening death or serious injury and misdemeanor exhibiting a deadly weapon after an arrest at her home.

12:19 p.m., Jamestown - Joseph Eric McIntyre, 45, of the 18700 block of Mill Villa Road, was booked on suspicion of burglary, vandalism and conspiracy to commit crime after an arrest at Highway 108 and O'Byrnes Ferry Road.

8:36 a.m., Copperopolis - Someone jumped a fence with a flashlight on Black Creek Drive.

9:43 a.m., Burson - Forgery occurred on Cobb Lane.

1:10 p.m., Angels Camp - Someone reported a suspicious person who is wearing all black and is "gothic looking" just walking down the street, but looks out of place for the area at Greenhorn Creek Drive and Live Oak Drive.

1:32 p.m., Burson - A home was burglarized on Navajo Way.

5:15 p.m., Valley Springs - A woman received three letters advising she won money but the senders wanted money before she could claim the prize. She knew it was a scam and wanted to report it.

6:02 p.m., San Andreas - A burglary occurred on Pixley Avenue.

7:14 p.m., Murphys - Gunshots were heard in the neighborhood of Hanging Tree Road.

7:17 p.m., Valley Springs - Fraud occurred on Highway 26.

9:11 p.m., Mokelumne Hill - An arrest was made after a disturbance on Highway 49.

9:25 p.m., Arnold - An arrest was made after an officer saw a suspicious person on Highway 4.

9:50 p.m., San Andreas - An arrest was made after someone felt threatened in a disturbance at O'Connell Lane.

10:08 p.m., Angels Camp - Someone was on the roof of a business on South Main Street.

11:19 p.m., Mokelumne Hill - An arrest was made after suspicious circumstances on Doster Road.


2:05 p.m., San Andreas - Theft occurred on Mountain Ranch Road.

2:12 p.m., Valley Springs - Someone challenged a neighbor to a fight on Garner Place.

2:21 p.m., Copperopolis - Dirt bikers were on someone else's property at Copper Cove Court and O'Byrnes Ferry Road.

2:44 p.m., Valley Springs - Someone sprayed his or her neighbor with pesticide on Baldwin Street.

4:08 p.m., Avery - A woman was shot in the leg near Hunter Dam Road.

5:32 p.m., Murphys - Grand theft occurred on Rolling Meadow Drive.

5:54 p.m., San Andreas - Medication was reported stolen on Calaveritas Road.

10:32 p.m., Sheep Ranch - There was an argument over trespassing and a campfire on Sheep Ranch Road.

11:08 p.m., Murphys - Vandalism to a vehicle occurred on Highway 4.

12:09 a.m., Mountain Ranch - Zanko James Hildebrandt, 42, of the 8500 block of Doster Road, was booked on suspicion of resisting an executive officer, drug possession and battery of a peace officer after an arrest at his home. He was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor obstructing an officer, possessing drug paraphernalia, being under the influence of drugs, and disorderly conduct while under the influence of drugs.

9:46 a.m., Valley Springs- Raymundo Deniz Lomeli, 46, of an unspecified address in Valley Springs, was booked on suspicion of cultivating marijuana, intent to sell marijuana, possessing a short barrel shotgun, carrying a loaded firearm with intent to commit a felony and attempting or committing a felony with a deadly weapon.
