TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

5:24 p.m., traffic accident - A Volvo C70 and a Toyota Corolla collided at North Washington Street and Yaney Avenue.

6:05 p.m., public intoxication - A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and having an open container of alcohol at the skatepark on Greenley Road.

7:07 p.m., theft - Someone's wallet was stolen at the Red Church on Snell Street.

8:01 p.m., theft - A juvenile was lectured for shoplifting at a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road. The store did not want to press charges.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

8:15 a.m., Moccasin - Someone attempted to break into the self-registration kiosk at the Moccasin Point campground on Jacksonville Road.

10:44 a.m., Sonora area - The self-pay station at New Melones Reservoir was stolen.

1:09 p.m., Columbia - A woman had a check stolen from the U.S. Post Office mailbox in Columbia and cancelled the check, but someone has been making false checks with her account. One of the checks was cashed.

2:41 p.m., Phoenix Lake - A wallet was stolen on the 21500 block of Phoenix Lake Road.

3:19 p.m., Tuolumne - Someone used a man's identity to lease a car in 2007 and now the man is being sued.

10:17 p.m., East Sonora - A woman was sitting in the intersection at Draper Mine and Soulsbyville roads surrounded by rocks. A deputy gave her a ride home.

FRIDAY

5:01 a.m., Tuolumne - The woman who was picked up from Draper Mine and Soulsbyville roads went to the casino in a bathrobe and slippers. She refused to pay her cab driver and was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs.

Felony bookings

THURSDAY

2 p.m., Sonora area - John Steven Day, 27, of the 24000 block of Pine Lake Drive, Sugar Pine, was booked on suspicion of violating his terms of release after an arrest on the 1100 block of Highway 49.

3:41 p.m., East Sonora - Michelle Lynn Dittrich, 36, of the 20400 block of Skyline Road, was booked on suspicion of first-degree burglary and affixing a false label to a drug after an arrest on the 13700 block of Mono Way. He was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of false identification to a peace officer.

THURSDAY

6:20 p.m., Jamestown - Fidel Michael Salinas III, 54, of the 10700 block of Wigwam Road, was booked after an arrest on Highway 49 at Wigwam Road. He was also booked on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

8:48 a.m., Valley Springs - Skateboarders damaged safety rails at the U.S. Post Office on the 200 block of Highway 12.

10:56 a.m., Copperopolis - A driver was warned after almost hitting a Caltrans worker with a vehicle at Highway 4 and Milton Road.

5:37 p.m., Valley Springs - Two men tried to smash a windshield on a woman's car in a parking lot on the 100 block of Highway 26. They were gone when a deputy arrived.

6:57 p.m., Valley Springs - A woman ran out of a grocery store on the 200 block of Highway 26 with a cartful of groceries without paying.

Felony bookings

THURSDAY

7:59 a.m., Copperopolis - Fredy Roblero Diaz, 23, of an unknown address, was booked on suspicion of cultivating marijuana and a misdemeanor charge of obstructing a public officer at Lake Tulloch.

7:59 a.m., Copperopolis - Brigido Lopez, 38, of the 1100 block of Whitman Way, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of cultivating marijuana and a misdemeanor charge of obstructing a public officer at Lake Tulloch.
