The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


11:38 a.m., suspicious circumstances - A man sitting in a van was taking photographs of people on South Washington Street. It was determined the man was not committing any crimes.

7:23 p.m., domestic violence - A man and woman were arrested on domestic violence charges. The man was also arrested for suspicion of drug possession on East Columbia Way.

The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office reported the following:


8:13 am., Jamestown - A man at Main and Willows streets said he lost his passport.

9:15 a.m., Sonora - A woman said she left items in a trash can on the 21500 block of Phoenix Lake Road while moving and returned to find them gone. Another woman had some of the items and returned them, saying she thought they were trash and OK to take. The caller said she would press charges against the woman if the remaining items were not returned.

10:22 a.m., Jamestown - A woman said her estranged husband came to her house on the 6900 block of O'Byrnes Ferry Road and she let him stay the night. She woke up to find two large suitcases and a shotgun in the kitchen and she didn't know what to do.

3:37 p.m., Tuolumne - A woman in the Sheriff's Office lobby said her son was assaulted weeks ago and she wanted the perpetrator to pay for dental bills.

4:05 p.m., Sonora - A caller said a man cleaning a nearby bank-owned property on Tuttletown Road was acting suspiciously.

6:34 p.m., Columbia - A passenger window was broken on a car on the Parrotts Ferry Bridge.

7:33 p.m., Long Barn - A male caller said a man threw a rock at the caller's vehicle on the 24900 block of Highway 108. The caller said the man had also left a threatening note on the vehicle, smeared feces near his porch, tried to fight him, chased him with a splitting maul, and tried to run him over. The men were advised to avoid each other.

7:53 p.m., Twain Harte - A theft occurred on the 23800 block of Sierra Pine Avenue.

7:55 p.m., Sonora - A suspicious person on the 21400 block of Hunts Road could not be found by deputies.

9:45 p.m., Jamestown - A caller said two young boys were drunk in public and harassing people entering a parking lot at Preston Lane and Seco Street.

10:26 p.m., Sonora - A man was assaulted on Tuolumne Road at Standard Road.

10:28 p.m., Columbia - Two women and a man were trying to break into a vehicle on 11000 block of Howser Lane. The vehicle owner saw the two women "playing musical chairs" in a white Ford four-door truck and shouted at them. When they drove away, he noticed his truck dome light was on.

10:47 p.m., Tuolumne - A man's daughter is "ranting, raving and babbling and not making sense" on the 18200 Mount Eaton Road. He suspected she was under the influence of drugs.

11:21 p.m., New Melones - A man let two strangers onto his houseboat on New Melones Reservoir. He told them to leave when they began "acting stupid," and they threw beer cans and trash at the boat. The boat was not damaged, and the pair, who had been drinking, left in a brown Mercedes.


12:47 a.m., Sonora - A caller said sounds of a young female screaming were coming from beneath the bridge at Mono Way and Sullivan Creek Road. The caller also thought she heard "chanting" after her screams. She called back 30 minutes later and reported a loud bang that sounded like a gunshot.

7:12 a.m., Tuolumne - A woman's daughter was "freaking out" and pounding on the door and threatening her mother and sister on the 18200 block of Mount Eaton Road.

7:45 p.m., Sonora - Dianna Ellen Hope, 53, of the 10300 block of Willow Street, Jamestown, was booked on suspicion of domestic abuse and a misdemeanor violation of probation after an arrest on the 100 block of Columbia Way.

7:56 p.m., Sonora - William Henry Webster, 53, of the 100 block of Columbia Way, was booked on suspicion of domestic violence and drug possession after an arrest on the 100 block of Columbia Way.


The Calaveras County Sheriff's Office reported the following:


11:28 a.m., Mokelumne Hill - A burglary occurred at a home on Highway 26.

11:58 a.m., San Andreas - Youths in the area had a large knife and were banging on mailboxes on Toyanza and Toyon streets.

12:38 p.m., Valley Springs - A criminal threat was made at Daphne Street.

1:59 p.m., Valley Springs - A person was behaving strangely on the 300 block of Sequoia Avenue.

3:29 p.m., Mountain Ranch - Identity theft was called in on South Railroad Flat Road.

4:08 p.m., West Point - A dark blue Ford Explorer was driving recklessly around Pine Street and Highway 26.

5:49 p.m., Arnold - Theft from a vehicle occurred on Longman Lane.

6:15 p.m., Valley Springs - A possible DUI driver was reported on Vista Del Lago Drive.

7:00 p.m., Valley Springs - An arrest was made for driving under the influence on Campo Seco Road.

7:48 p.m., Valley Springs - A trespassing vehicle was reported on Quail Oaks Road.

8:16 p.m., Angels Camp - An officer found a lost child on the 100 block of Frogtown Road.

9:39 p.m., Hathaway Pines - Someone heard noises and voices outside a house on Silver Saddle Drive. It is an ongoing issue.

9:45 p.m., San Andreas - A possible driver under the influence was reported on West Saint Charles and Gold Oaks streets.

11:13 p.m., Angels Camp - A man with no shirt seemed intoxicated and was harassing people as they walked to their cars on the 100 block of Frogtown Road.


2:14 a.m., Murphys - "Bikers" argued outside on Big Trees Road and a gunshot was heard.

8:01 a.m., Copperopolis - Items were taken from a vehicle on Quail Hill Road.

11:25 p.m., West Point - Richard Allen Wallace, 54, of the 300 block of Stanley Road, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license after an arrest at his home.


10:11 a.m., San Andreas - Desiree Suzanne Berry, 49, of the 2900 block of Hartvickson Lane, Valley Springs, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol and drug possession after an arrest on Central Hill Road.
