The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


12:19 p.m., reckless driving - Someone was driving recklessly on Mono Way near Restano Way. An officer advised the driver of the complaint.

2:36 p.m., traffic accident - A hit-and-run was reported on South Washington Street.

6:57 p.m., public intoxication - A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at a restaurant on the 100 block of West Stockton Road.

The Sheriff's Department reported the following:


10:22 a.m., Sonora area - Items were stolen from outside a residence on the 20900 block of Shaws Flat Road.

10:42 a.m., Tuolumne - A 48-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on the 18400 block of Tuolumne Road.

11:19 a.m., Sonora area - A door to a pump house and two PVC water pipes were vandalized on the 21100 block of Old Sonora Columbia Road.

4:44 p.m., Sonora area - A residence was burglarized and a car stolen on the 20000 block of Mine Meadow Court.

5:25 p.m., Twain Harte - A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of violating his probation by drinking alcohol.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


7:40 p.m., Sonora area - Monte Christopher Menzel, 49, of the 10100 block of Old Highway 49, Coulterville, was booked after an arrest on Mono Way at Tuolumne Road.


The Sheriff's Department reported the following:


8:16 p.m., Valley Springs - Cats were stolen from a business on Nove Way and it was determined to be a civil issue.

9:15 a.m., San Andreas - A man in a black hoodie was sitting on the floor of the Calaveras County Government Building. He was gone when a deputy arrived.

1:34 p.m., Murphys - A falling sign damaged a vehicle on Main Street.
