Fire control course

Lenore Rutherford, The Union Democrat

Flames may be seen off Tuolumne Road tonight as part of a fire control course given by Cal Fire and Tuolumne County Fire Department.

The course will be held at the Cal Fire Standard Station, 18464 Striker Court to teach techniques for fighting flammable liquid fires. The live fire component will take place between 6 and 10 p.m. and will produce flames up to 20 feet high that could be visible from Tuolumne Road and the Standard area.
