Highway 108 closure to continue

Union Democrat staff /

Workers will continue to clear contaminated earth and repair parts of Highway 108/120 west of Jamestown through Tuesday in an area where a gas truck overturned last week.

The highway earlier was expected to be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Saturday to clean up the spilled fuel. But experts have determined that clean-up and pavement repair will need to be done around-the-clock.

Work is expected to last at least until 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Motorists should expect 10-minute delays. A signed detour is in place, and alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

The work is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials and construction related issues.
