The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


9:02 a.m., vehicle theft - A stolen vehicle was recovered east of Lyons Bald Mountain Road, where it went missing.

12:21 p.m., traffic accident - A power company truck hit a street sign and ran over someone's lawn on Oregon Street.

1:59 p.m., theft - A stereo was stolen from a car on Friday at a business on the 100 block of Old Wards Ferry Road.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


7:23 a.m., Sonora area - A deer was stuck in a bannister on a porch on Buena Vista Avenida.

8:01 a.m., Tuolumne - A man pointed an AK-47 in another man's face.

8:43 a.m., Sonora area - Aluminum cans have been stolen from a recycling center on Camage Avenue for four consecutive nights.

9:44 a.m., Jamestown - A camera was stolen from a vehicle on Twin Oak Drive.

10:50 a.m., Pinecrest - Skis were stolen on Dodge Ridge Road.

10:51 a.m., Columbia - A man came to a door of a Porcina Way house and said he was with Tuolumne Utilities District. The homeowner called the district, who said they had no workers in the area.

11:42 a.m., Twain Harte - A man said he was assaulted by his stepfather on Huron Drive.

12:49 p.m., Sonora area - Someone purchased a laptop for $820 using another person's debit card.

1:23 p.m., Tuolumne - A 16-year-old boy was being restrained by staff at Summerville Union High School after assaulting the principal.

3:05 p.m., Pinecrest - An employee of a business on Dodge Ridge Road was fired for embezzlement.

6:57 p.m., Jamestown - A residence on Preston Lane was burglarized.

10:54 p.m., Soulsbyville - A 15-year-old son was counseled by a deputy after yelling at and threatening his mother. He became angry when she told him he could not have a soda that late.

11:10 p.m., Jamestown - Jewelry was stolen from an apartment on Preston Lane.

Felony bookings


3:40 a.m., Soulsbyville - Michelle Marie Colopy, 21, of the 21100 block of Oman Drive, was booked on suspicion of bringing alcohol or drugs into a jail or prison and possession of drugs, including narcotics, after an arrest on the 20500 block of Willow Springs Drive. She was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of drugs.

8:45 a.m., Sonora area - Treana Lynn McGee, 27, of the 500 block of South Stewart Street, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor warrant after an arrest on the 70 block of Green Street.

10:18 a.m., Jamestown - Dante Luigi Cuneo, 24, of San Andreas, was booked on suspicion of possession of marijuana after an arrest on Highway 49 at Fifth Avenue.
