Union Democrat staff

A water main break has left an estimated 300 to 500 customers in Arnold without water Tuesday morning while Calaveras County Water District crews work to repair the damage.

A CCWD new release stated a two-main water transmission line break and leak in the Arnold area occurred early Tuesday morning and estimated it could take five to 12 hours to complete repairs and restore services.

Areas out of water, according to the CCWD statement, are: Mill Woods and Lilac Park subdivisions, Cedar Center commercial complex, addresses between 1323 and 1546 on Highway 4, 1320 to 1692 Pine Drive, downtown Arnold, and Oak, Linebaugh and Dunbar Roads.

CCWD staffers are attempting to contact as many of the affected business owners and residents as possible to inform them about the water outage.

Residents are asked to call CCWD at 754-3543 regarding any questions or concerns.
