Soulsbyville trustee needed

Union Democrat staff

Soulsbyville School District is seeking a new school board member after the resignation of longtime trustee Craig Adams.

The new board member will be appointed by existing trustees and fill the rest of Adams' elected term, which goes until 2014.

School board members attend meetings and vote on important issues related to the school district, such as its annual budget and new personnel.

Elementary school boards generally meet once a month, with occasional special meetings.

Applicants for the Soulsbyville board seat should be at least 18 years old, living in the district and a registered voter.

Applications are due Thursday, Jan. 31.

Those interested in the appointment should call the Soulsbyville School District office at 532-1419.
