Union Democrat staff


The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


10:01 a.m., traffic accident - A non-injury accident was reported on South Washington Street.

10:43 a.m., theft - Items were stolen from a residence on North Shepherd Street.

12:13 p.m., fraud - A credit card was fraudulently charged.

2:02 p.m., lost property - A purse was lost or stolen on the 500 block of South Washington Street.

5:39 p.m., vandalism - A vehicle's gas cap was damaged, but it was unknown if gas was siphoned.


12:06 p.m., public intoxication - A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after an arrest at Restano Way and Stewart Street.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


8:52 a.m., Jamestown - A screen was pried off the window of a business on the 18100 block of Main Street.

11:35 a.m., Soulsbyville - About 20 guns were stolen from an unlocked gun safe in garage on the 19800 block of Soulsbyville Road.

1:35 p.m., Sonora area - A woman was dancing around with an American flag on the 14800 block of Mono Way. She had been asked to leave the area earlier, after dancing around with the flag and taking items from a nearby business. She returned the items she took and purchased an item.

2:51 p.m., Sonora area - A woman was taking a bath with the hose of a business on the 19600 block of Highway 108. She was later seen in a parking lot on the 14800 block of Mono Way hitting cars with a shopping cart and her hand and yelling at drivers.

4:58 p.m., Sonora area - A credit card was opened and charged using someone else's name.

5:12 p.m., Sonora - Possible identity theft was reported.

5:20 p.m., Columbia - A possibly intoxicated man was lying in the road on the 11500 block of Yankee Hill Road and bleeding from his head. He refused medical attention and was gone when deputies arrived.

8:25 p.m., Twain Harte - A man and woman ordered food at a business on the 23000 block of Fuller Drive. The man confronted the staff about waiting for the food for too long, paid the tab, pushed over a pile of dishes and cakes and stormed out with the woman.

Felony bookings


11:10 a.m., Sonora area - Christopher Lee Miller, 23, a transient, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and a misdemeanor charge of possessing drug paraphernalia after an arrest on Red Heather Drive.

3 p.m., Sonora area - Daniel Patrick Robbins, 33, a transient, was booked on suspicion of violation of probation, attempted grand theft, and transporting or selling drugs after an arrest on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road. He was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of being under the influence of drugs.
