The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


9:28 a.m., theft - A chain saw was stolen from a property on the 500 block of Greenley Road.

12:14 p.m., traffic accident - An auto accident at Mono Way and Greenley Road around 7:15 a.m. was reported.

4:13 p.m., hazard - Two people were stumbling into the road at Washington Street and Restano Way and yelling people.

6:02 p.m., fraud - Prescription fraud was reported at a pharmacy on the 800 block of Delnero Drive.

11:07 p.m., trespass - An employee of a business on the 800 block of Mono Way believed a man stole a bottle of alcohol. Officers were unable to locate the person and the employee requested a trespass report.

11:30 p.m., drunk in public - A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

11:50 p.m., assault - A 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault on a person and violation of probation after brandishing a pair of scissors at another person on Olive Street.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


11:01 a.m., Tuolumne - An old wire wheel and other items have been taken from Yellow Jacket Mine on Buchanan Mine and Tuolumne roads.

1:14 p.m., Sonora area - A $9,812 check written to a business on the 13400 block of Mono Way bounced.

1:16 p.m., Long Barn - A bicycle was stolen off a car on the 25000 block of Jordan Way on Sunday night.

1:37 p.m., Sonora area - Items from a china cabinet and a jewelry box and its contents were stolen from a home on the 11900 block of Appey Way while the homeowner was walking her dog.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


4:05 p.m., Groveland - Jason Tyler Tuggle, 21, of the 10900 block of Merrell Drive, Groveland, was booked after an arrest on Highway 120 at Sprague Road.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


8:29 a.m., Valley Springs - A possible theft was reported on Hogan Dam Road.

3:52 p.m., Angels Camp - A burglary was reported on Highway 4.

11:15 p.m., Valley Springs - People were shooting off fireworks on Owens Way.


10:10 a.m., San Andreas - A business on West Saint Charles Street was vandalized.

12:53 p.m., Angels Camp - Cruelty to animals was reported on Pool Station Road.

2:22 p.m., Copperopolis - A residence was burglarized on Arrowhead Street.

2:35 p.m., Avery - People were fighting on the 4400 block of Moran Road.

8:47 p.m., Valley Springs - A vehicle was vandalized while it was being driven on Cane Lane.

11:21 p.m., Copperopolis - Intoxicated people were fighting on the 100 block of Reeds Turnpike.


3:50 p.m., Valley Springs - Someone stole aluminum cans and attempted to break into a home on Milton Road.


2:41 p.m., San Andreas - A woman who appeared to be underage stole three packs of beer from a business on the 400 block of West St. Charles Street.

Felony bookings


10:20 p.m., Angels Camp - Wayne Eric Townsend, 50, of the 400 block of Murphys Grade Road, was booked on suspicion of felony violation of parole after an arrest at his home. He was also booked on suspicion of a misdemeanor charge of battery.
