CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

1:26 p.m., Jenny Lind - Diesel fuel was spilled on Jenny Lind Road.

2:51 p.m., San Andreas - A vehicle was vandalized on Calaveritas Road.

3:40 p.m., Mokelumne Hill - Petty theft was reported on Highway 26.

6:35 p.m., Valley Springs - A person was trespassing in a backyard on Vista Del Lago Drive. He jumped the fence and ran off.

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY

1:15 p.m., San Andreas - Anthony Chase Wynne Hodge, 28, of the 200 block of Market Street, was booked on suspicion of first-degree burglary and receiving known stolen property exceeding $400, after an arrest at the Department of Motor Vehicles.

1:15 p.m., San Andreas - Jessica Ann Jauch, 23, of the 10 block of Quartz Street, Jackson, was booked on suspicion of first degree burglary and receiving known stolen property exceeding $400, after an arrest at the Department of Motor Vehicles. She was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of violation of probation and being under the influence of drugs.

WEDNESDAY

11:07 p.m., Rancho Calaveras - Michael Eugene Duncan, 45, of the 700 block of Quail Oaks Road, Valley Springs, was booked after an arrest Tuesday at Baldwin and Berkesey lanes. He was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, driving while addicted to drugs and being under the influence of drugs.

TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:37 a.m., traffic accident - A taxi and a suburban collided on East Bald Mountain Road. No injuries were reported.

9:55 a.m., theft - An mp3 player was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 800 block of Lyons Bald Mountain Road.

3:34 p.m., controlled substances - A group of people were smoking something out of aluminum foil in front of a residence on South Shepherd Street. Police were unable to locate them. No drugs were found in the house, and the 17-year-old resident said his friends were smoking tobacco.

9:40 p.m., suspicious circumstances - A group of underage people brought alcohol into a restaurant on Sanguinetti Road. They left in a vehicle after being confronted by a manager.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:43 a.m., Sonora area - A person's credit card was used fraudulently online, with purchases totalling $1,000.

9 a.m., Groveland - A person gave someone claiming to be with Microsoft access to a personal computer. Since then, someone has been exploring the computer remotely and accessing private information.

10:58 a.m., Sonora area - About $3,693 was withdrawn from a person's bank account and funds were sent to someone in Arkansas.

12:23 p.m., Soulsbyville - A residence on the 16900 block of Monte Grande Drive was burglarized sometime between Friday and Monday morning. All the drawers had been rifled through, but only one item was reported missing.

3:21 p.m., Sonora area - A person's identification was compromised on classmates.com . Someone hacked into his account and obtained his Social Security number, mother's maiden name and credit card number.

6:40 p.m., Tuolumne - A vial of crystal meth was found on the floor of a business on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road North.

11:27 p.m., Jamestown - Two men were rifling through garbage cans on the 18200 block of Cara Lane.

THURSDAY

4:25 a.m., Jamestown - A gas station on Highway 108 received a counterfeit $10 bill.

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY

2:28 p.m., Twain Harte - Allison Mary Artzer, 27, of the 500 block of Highway 49, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of willful cruelty to a child, possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics for sale, possession of drugs and possession of drugs for sale, after an arrest on the 18800 block of Manzanita Drive. She was also booked on suspicion of a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

2:28 p.m., Twain Harte - Jared William Russell, 30, of the 500 block of Highway 49, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of abusing or endangering the health of a child, possession of narcotics, possession of drugs and possession of drugs for sale. He was also booked on suspicion of a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

9 p.m., Sonora area - William Eugene Freeze, 52, of the 18100 block of Fifth Avenue, Jamestown, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs, after an arrest on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road. He was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, being under the influence of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs without a prescription.

WEDNESDAY

8:10 p.m., Jamestown - Cynthia Lea Chaney, 49, of the 1000 block of Pine Street, Redding, was booked after an arrest on Highway 49 at Golf Links Road. She was also booked on suspicion of a misdemeanor charge of being under the influence of drugs.

Fires

WEDNESDAY

5:22 p.m., Sonora area - A heater at a home on the 21700 block of White Thorn Way made a loud noise and ignited.

THURSDAY

4:10 a.m., Jamestown - A fire was reported in the alley between Eighth and Ninth avenues.
