The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


12:52 a.m., East Sonora - Round Table Pizza on the 13700 block of Mono Way was burglarized.

1:40 a.m., Groveland - A man on the 12900 block of Mueller Drive said another man came to his home and assaulted him.

9:35 p.m., Big Oak Flat - A burglary in progress was reported on the 11300 block of Wards Ferry Road.


12:22 a.m., Groveland - An oven was dropped off on the 20500 block of Nob Hill Circle.

2:41 p.m., Groveland - Someone tried to steal a heater from a house on the 20900 block of Woodside Way, damaging the ductwork and heater.

4:30 p.m., Jamestown - A house on the 14500 block of Pioneer Circle was burglarized by breaking the handle of a side door on the garage. Among multiple items taken were a boat and stereo equipment.

6:20 p.m., Soulsbyville area - A woman lying on the side of the road was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

6:39 p.m., Jamestown - An arrest was made after deputies responded to a call that a man and woman were fighting on the 10200 block of Preston Lane.

8:31 p.m., Mono Village - People were setting off fireworks on Rockridge Way.


12:46 a.m., Jamestown - A nearby resident asked a neighbor of the 10100 block of Peppermint Circle to call the Sheriff's Office about a fight. The result was an arrest on suspicion of public intoxication and a report taken for assault resulting in physical injury.

The Sonora Police reported the following:


2:37 a.m., warrant arrest - A 27-year-old man was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant after banging on the door of a stranger's house on Lytton Street and saying he was cold.

11:03 a.m., theft - Bertelli's Sonora Drugs on Stockton Road reported a shoplifter. The act was caught on surveillance tape.

2:46 p.m., theft - Gas was siphoned from the gas tank of a car parked on Elk Drive.


10:20 a.m., theft - A man took a bottle of alcohol and ran out of Save Mart on Stockton Road.

8:56 p.m., fight - A man who was described as drunk and belligerent argued with a woman in the Crossroads Shopping Center on Sanguinetti Road.

Felony bookings


9:50 p.m., Sonora - Shane John Wilson, 24, of the 200 block of Greenley Road, arrested on suspicion of felony robbery and misdemeanor battery.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


2:49 p.m., East Sonora - Robert Bruce Wolcott, 200 block of Gerrymander Court, Sonora, was booked after arrest on the 13700 block of Mono Way.


5:55 p.m., Confidence - Brian James Bennett, 47, of an unlisted address on Box Factory Road, Tuolumne, was booked after arrest on Highway 108 in Confidence.


The Sheriff's Department reported the following:


12:11 p.m., Copperopolis - A residential burglary occurred on Pueblo Trail.

3:42 p.m., San Andreas - A juvenile shoplifter was detained at Treats General Store.

3:53 p.m., Valley Springs - A bicycle was stolen from a residence on Baldwin Street.

5:52 p.m., Arnold - A man was urinating on peoples' cars, trying to break into a store's van and leaving his belongings in front of a store.

8:30 p.m., Arnold - A theft occurred at the Arnold Chevron on Highway 4.


2:37 a.m., Valley Springs - An arrest was made at Jitters Drive Thru Espresso on Mangili Road on a public intoxication charge.

11:18 p.m., West Point - Someone threw a rock through the door of a building on Sawyer Lane and tried to shut down the electric system.
