Second pedestrian hit, killed

A pedestrian was hit and killed by an automobile Saturday evening, the second pedestrian fatality in Tuolumne County in as many days.

Few details were available this evening.The accident was still under investigation, according to theCalifornia Highway PatrolJamestown office.

It happened about 6:38 p.m., according to CHP dispatch logs, at 108 in Jamestown.

Traffic restrictions were in place until about 8:30 p.m.

It was the second pedestrian fatalityon Tuolumne County roads in the past two days.

About 6:45 a.m. Friday, a jogger, identified as Amy Wayne, 27, of Sonora, was struck by a car as she was jogging at Jamestown and Mt. Brow roads.

CHP identified the driver asTashina Hatler, 22, of Jamestown.

Hatler told CHP officers she didn't see Wayne, who was wearing a safety light.
