Jogger killed on Jamestown Road

A jogger was struck and killed by a car this morning just north of Sonora.

The fatal collision was reported at 6:45 a.m. at Mt. Brow and Jamestown roads.

Few details were available this morning.

CHP Officer Brad Schultz said the jogger was heading south and was hit by a southbound four-door Toyota.

The jogger, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Schultz said the incident is now under investigation.
