Three people were arrested Tuesday in Mountain Ranch after Calaveras County narcotics agents served a search warrant on a residence in the area and found a cache of drugs and weapons, according to the sheriff's office.
William Clarence Underhill, 61, of the 7700 block of Oak Lane, was booked into Calaveras County Jail on suspicion of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and Miguel Topete Lopez, 37, of Pittsburg, was booked on suspicion of the same charge as well as felony drug possession and misdemeanor marijuana possession charges.
Charlotte Louise Underhill, 57, also of the 7700 block of Oak Lane, was arrested and booked on suspicion of being under the influence of a drug and possession of more than one-ounce of marijuana, both misdemeanors.
All three were arrested following a raid at the Underhills' residence on Oak Lane conducted by members of the sheriff's SWAT team and Calaveras Narcotics Enforcement Unit, according to a sheriff's office report.
During the raid, authorities uncovered two handguns, two long guns, ammunition, roughly 40 pounds of processed marijuana, 30 marijuana plants, about 0.6 grams of methamphetamine and prescription medications, the report said.
The search warrant was the result of "an extensive, ongoing investigation," by sheriff's investigators, officials said.
Charlotte Underhill was released after being cited on the misdemeanor charges, while William Underhill and Lopez remained in custody at the county jail.
Underhill's bail was set at $15,000 and Lopez's at $90,000.
