The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


11:17 a.m., Sonora area - Unknown suspects broke two windows on the back side of a house on the 20000 block of Chipmunk Road, causing $200 in damage.

11:33 a.m., East Sonora - Someone attempted to use a fake or stolen prescription pad on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

12:47 p.m., Soulsbyville - Someone stole two days worth of a mail from a mailbox at a residence on the 17000 block of Upper Starr King Drive and dumped it on the side of a nearby hill.

2 p.m., Jamestown - An unknown person stole the personal information of a man on the 13900 block of Lake Drive to fraudulently obtain a credit card.

7 p.m., Jamestown - Jerrod David Dermond, 29, of the 400 block of Mart Avenue, Waterford, and Stacy Michelle Moreno, 32, of the 2500 block of Rose Avenue, Modesto, were booked on suspicion of possessing marijuana or hashish for sale and selling or transporting marijuana or hashish, after arrests at Highway 108 and O'Byrnes Ferry Road.

9:18 p.m., Sonora - Robert Bruce Huntsman, 56, unknown address, was booked on suspicion of failing to register as a sex offender and a misdemeanor charge of false identification to a peace officer, after an arrest at a business on South Washington Street.

4:28 p.m., Jamestown - Julian Duarte Garza III, 23, of the 3700 block of Arizona Avenue, Riverbank, was arrested at Highway 120 and Green Springs Road.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


12:11 p.m., school assists - An 18-year-old student was detained at a school on South Barretta Street on suspicion of possessing marijuana on school grounds. The student was cited and released and the school will handle a five-day suspension.

12:52 p.m., assault - A 15-year-old student at Sonora High School on North Washington Street was detained on suspicion of battery. He was transported to the Probation Department and the school will handle a five-day suspension.

2:05 p.m., assault - A fight occurred between female students at Sonora High School. A juvenile female student was transported to the Probation Department on suspicion of battery. The school will handle a five-day suspension.

3:09 p.m., theft - A man at a business on Mono Way said suspected thieves just left the store in a red Toyota or Suzuki car. He said he grabbed the passenger door in an attempt to stop the suspects and was dragged by the vehicle about 70 feet. He was uninjured and declined medical attention. The driver was described as a woman with blond hair and the passenger as a man with a shaved head wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the suspects.

4:06 p.m., theft - A red, black and white mountain bicycle was stolen at Sonora High School on North Washington Street. The bike was valued at $600.

8:17 p.m., suspicious circumstances - Officers checked the downtown area for a man who was seen taking pictures of the Sonora Police Department building and its power source on Green Street.

10:02 a.m., Jenny Lind - A case of identity theft was reported on Lone Oak Drive.

4:24 p.m., San Andreas - A theft occurred on Miller Court.

4:44 p.m., West Point - A man came home from a trip out of town and found that the contents of his house on Main Street were gone.

6:45 p.m., Wilseyville - A burglary occurred on Blagen Boulevard.

8:53 p.m., Copperopolis - A suspected shoplifter was cited at a business on Spangler Lane.

9:15 p.m., San Andreas - A Mountain Ranch Road man said his motion lights went on and there was an unknown man in his backyard.

11:39 p.m., Copperopolis - Someone said a prowler was climbing over a white fence on Flint Trail.

10:17 a.m., Murphys - James David Arnold, 64, of the 2400 block of Sultana Road, Arnold, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest on the 100 block of Jones Street.

7:50 p.m., Copperopolis - Glen Eric Lantzy, 48, of the 8000 block of Savage Way, Valley Springs, was booked on suspicion of possessing concentrated marijuana, after an arrest on Highway 26 west of Hogan Dam Road.
