The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


8:50 a.m., Sonora - Someone on the 21100 block of Fleetwood Road reported that a woman was going door-to-door asking for charitable donations to a local church. When called the church had no knowledge of the woman or her activities.

10:16 a.m., Sonora - Someone reported that the owner of a business on the 14300 block of Cuesta Court threatened to "beat him up."

2:35 p.m., Tuolumne - A woman on the 20200 block of Canyonview Drive reported that a man claiming to be a detective from Los Angeles called her house to say that someone had opened a credit card account in her name. The man said she had to pay the debt and asked for her to give him private information. She has since cancelled her debit card.

3:21 p.m., Jamestown - A woman on the 10700 block of Wigwam Road said that someone was hanging onto the bottom of her vehicle, weighing it down while she was driving from Sonora to Jamestown.

6:49 p.m., Tuolumne - A woman on the 18300 block of Zeni Lane reported that a man was threatening her and texting her pictures of himself holding assault rifles.

8:19 p.m., Jamestown - A woman reportedly changed her clothes in her car in a parking lot of the 18300 block of Highway 108. The woman said she was changing due to the hot weather.


2:23 a.m. Sonora - California Highway Patrol reported that a car went off the road into a ditch on Lime Kiln and Jacobs Road.

Felony bookings


2:25 a.m., Big Oak Flat - Michael Lloyd Smith, 51, of the 9700 block of Jack Ass Creek Road, was booked on suspicion of assault after an arrest on the 11100 block of Scofield Road.

3:40 a.m. Sonora - Kelly Ann Cochran, 30, of the Sonora area, was booked on suspicion of assault after an arrest at a church on the 400 block of West Stockton Street.

Noon, Sonora - Danny James Norton, 28, of the 700 block of Sanguinetti Road, was booked on suspicion of burglary after an arrest on Old Wards Ferry Road.

7:34 p.m., Jamestown - A woman on the 18900 block of Golden Dove Lane, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest at her home.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


8:35 a.m., Sonora - Brian Leo Foletta, 27, of the 1700 block of West Keyes Road, Modesto, arrested on Sommette and Peaceful Oak Road.

7:50 p.m., Jamestown - William Robert Adorni III, 44, of the 800 block of Concord Ave., Oakland, arrested on Main Street at Donovan Street.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


10:53 a.m., burglary - A man was arrested for on suspicion of burglary on Sanguinetti Road.

5:53 p.m., theft - A cellphone was reported stolen from a house on North Stewart Street.

Fire Calls


11:41 a.m., Sonora - Someone reported a structure fire at the end of Route 5/Tres Casas Road.

11:47 a.m., Sonora - Two callers reported a barn fire on the 13600 block of Kincaid Flat.


The Sheriff's Department reported the following:


10:14 a.m., Arnold - Someone tried to break into a house by punching the door lock on Murphys Drive.

11:27 a.m., West Point - A forgery was reported on Higdon Road.

5:23 p.m., San Andreas - An arrest was made after a disturbance was reported at the Calaveras County Adult Probation office on East St. Charles Street.


1:39 a.m., Arnold - Someone was arrested for public intoxication at White Pines Park on Blagen Road.

Felony bookings


11 a.m., San Andreas - Michelle Renee Billot, 33, of unknown address in San Andreas, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor charges of being under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia, after an arrest at the 1500 Calaveritas Road.

4 p.m., Arnold - Jonathan George McManus, 46, of the 7600 block of Suncove Lane, Sacramento, was booked on suspicion of assault with a firearm, on Highway 4.
