The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


1:20 a.m., Sonora - Authorities were looking for someone who walked away from Sonora Regional Medical Center while on an involuntary psychiatric hold. Sonora police advised about an hour later that the person had been detained and was being transported back to the hospital.

3:50 a.m., Jamestown - Residents on the 11200 block of McKibbin Drive said an unknown man was walking in the road near their home when their dog ran towards him and started barking. The male stabbed the dog and then apologized before walking away. The dog's owners were requesting information about emergency veterinarians in the area. The Sheriff's Office did not open a criminal case.

6:46 a.m., Sonora area - A woman near Belleview Road and Cadenza Drive said she thought she smelled a meth lab in her neighborhood. She was not sure which house it was coming from. The Sheriff's Office did not open an investigation.

4:59 p.m., Twain Harte - Someone found a marijuana pipe in the grass near a stop sign at Greenview and Leisure drives.

6:07 p.m., Jamestown - A 31-year-old woman was arrested for local misdemeanor bench warrants after deputies were called to the 17700 block of Highway 108 where she was allegedly walking around intoxicated and mumbling to herself.

10:17 p.m., Tuolumne - A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after deputies were called to the 18400 block of Tuolumne Road for an alleged fight.

10:06 p.m., Tuolumne - Raymond Craig Bernido, 64, of the 19600 block of Mi Wu Street, was arrested on Tuolumne Road east of Hess Avenue.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


10:05 a.m., animal complaints - A baby raccoon was found in a trash bin at an apartment complex on Greenley Road. An officer returned the animal to the wood line.

11:25 a.m., theft - A man on Oak Street said several items were stolen from his residence and he thought he knew who took them.

12:26 p.m., hazardous situation - A stop sign at South Washington and William streets had been rotated and was facing the wrong direction. An officer was able to rotate the stop sign back and informed the city's Public Works Department that the pole was loose in the ground.

2:11 p.m., controlled substances - An employee at a business on Sanguinetti Road observed two men and a woman "shooting up" an unknown drug by the side of the building. They then started vomiting and passed out. Officers checked the area and nearby railroad tracks but were unable to locate the suspects.

2:31 p.m., traffic accidents - A motorcycle was down after a traffic accident with a car near a business on Mono Way, but no one was injured.

2:56 p.m., trespassing - A man emptied trash cans and filled them with various plants at the David Lambert Drop-in Center on West Jackson Street. He was ordered to stay away from the property.

6:09 p.m., theft - A BMX bicycle was stolen from the front porch of a residence on South Shepherd Street.

12:03 p.m., Rail Road Flat - A theft occurred at a residence on Summit Level Road.

12:47 p.m., Copperopolis - A theft occurred at a residence on Arrowhead Street.

3:07 p.m., Rail Road Flat - A 46-year-old man was arrested on North Railroad Flat Road for a local misdemeanor warrant.

4:59 p.m., Arnold - Someone was causing a disturbance at a bank on Blagen Road.

6:51 p.m., Valley Springs - There was a fight on Dunn Road.

7:43 p.m., Murphys - A 25-year-old man was arrested on Williams Street for a local misdemeanor warrant.

10:17 p.m., Valley Springs - A group of juveniles were skateboarding near a business on Highway 12 and were refusing to leave.
