The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


8:57 a.m., Long Barn - Two kayaks were stolen at a property on the 25300 block of Esther Avenue.

9:33 a.m., Jamestown - A woman said several items were stolen from her residence on the 10600 block of Wigwam Road.

9:52 a.m., Columbia - A woman said there was a "weird" man who was talking about taking surveys in the area and walked onto a vacant property below her residence on the 11600 block of Rambler Road. She said the man was carrying a briefcase and dressed in a derby hat, boxers, bathrobe and rain boots. Deputies checked the area but were unable to locate the man.

1:31 p.m., Sonora area - A woman on the 20200 block of Grouse Way said someone used her credit card without her permission to purchase a magazine subscription.

4:42 p.m., Groveland - Air sampling equipment was stolen from a property on the 19600 block of Chamberlain Court.

Felony bookings


2 p.m., Sonora - Kristina Anne Carmichael, 37, of the 18600 block of Main Street, Tuolumne, was booked on suspicion of forgery, elder abuse and burglary.

11:50 p.m., Sonora area - Edmond Joseph Allatt, 33, of the 20700 block of Soulsbyville Road, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on the 12900 block of Chukar Circle.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


7:34 a.m., lost property - A man said his guitar was taken while he slept on a bench at Rotary Park.

5:03 p.m., suspicious circumstances - A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor child endangerment after a woman claimed he tried to attack her children at a business on Sanguinetti Road. The man told officers he was sleepwalking at the time of the incident.

Fire calls


10:11 a.m., Don Pedro - A spot of grass at a property on Highway 132 near Merced Falls Road was ignited by the use of a lawnmower. One engine responded and extinguished the fire within about a half an hour.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


9:10 a.m., Valley Springs - A business was burglarized on Highway 26.

9:12 a.m., West Point - A residence was burglarized on Marshall Way.

9:17 a.m., Murphys - Someone shot a car door with a pellet gun on Laurel Lane.

4:28 p.m., Angels Camp - A residence was burglarized on Meacham Ranch Road.

Felony bookings


6:26 p.m., Angels Camp - Heather Kathleen Van Natta, 35, of the 800 block of Tuolumne Avenue, was booked on suspicion of child endangerment, after an arrest at her home.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


10:45 p.m., Valley Springs - Jonathon Michael Weston, 19, of the 200 block of Gold King Drive, was arrested at Highway 49 and Gold King Drive.
