The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


4:14 a.m., Twain Harte - Someone was trying to steal tools from a yard at Confidence Road and Highway 108.

6:37 a.m., Sonora - A resident of the 12700 block of Chukar Circle said a man had been stealing things.

10:03 a.m., Soulsbyville - A mailbox was broken into on the 20400 block of Rafferty Court, and checks were taken.

10:46 a.m., Sonora area - A cargo trailer was broken into at a business on the 18600 block of Eagle Road. An air compressor, small generator, air hoses and camera system were among the items taken.

11:18 a.m., Columbia - A man said another man tried to hit him with a pickup Sunday on the 23700 block of Parrotts Ferry Road.

2:06 p.m., Groveland - A trailer was vandalized on the 19600 block of Ferretti Road.

2:59 p.m., La Grange - A home on the 3800 block of Ladera Way was burglarized. Items missing included a television set, stereo, PlayStation 3, and music equipment.

3:37 p.m., Cedar Ridge - A home on the 24200 block of Oxbow Lane was burglarized between 9:30 a.m. and 3:36 p.m. Monday. The only thing the resident noticed missing was an Xbox.

5:09 p.m., Jamestown - A woman was assaulted on the 10200 block of Preston Lane.

5:17 p.m., Cedar Ridge - A man on the 24300 block of Kewin Mill Road said someone tried to burglarize his house sometime between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. by prying open his windows. He believed his dogs bit the burglars because the dogs noses were covered in blood.

5:23 p.m., Sonora area - An arrest was made on the 12700 block of Mono Way after a woman threw a phone book at her father resulting in a minor injury.

10:56 p.m., East Sonora - A man on the 14500 block of Lolly Lane said his girlfriend scratched his face and called him bad names.

Felony bookings

10:54 p.m., Sonora area - Robert Santorelli Jr., 47, of the 12900 block of Chukar Circle, was arrested at Chukar Circle and Grouse Way on a charge of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

1:18 a.m., East Sonora - Luke Nunes, 18, of the 17100 block of Nile River Drive, was arrested at Mono Way and Tuolumne Road.

1:38 a.m., Sonora - Michelle Elaine Raney, 56, of the 10200 block of Preston Lane, Jamestown, was arrested at Highway 108 and Stockton Road. She was also charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance and driving without a license.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


9:01 a.m., theft - A bicycle was stolen from a wooded area near the Tuolumne County Library on Greenley Road.

11:45 a.m., warrant arrest - A 19-year-old woman turned herself in on a misdemeanor warrant.

7:29 p.m., theft - A man bought two games at Walmart on Sanguinetti Road, and left them on top of his car for a few minutes while he was taking to his girlfriend. When he returned, his bag with the games in it was gone.


The Sheriff's Department reported the following:


9:14 a.m., Mountain Ranch - A disturbance with possible criminal threats was reported on Old Greek Mine Road.

9:41 a.m., Mokelumne Hill - A fight occurred on Jesus Maria Road.

10:11 a.m., San Andreas - An arrest was made for petty theft on Toyon Court.

11:53 a.m., Valley Springs - A residential burglary occurred on Daphne Street.

2:46 p.m., San Andreas - A fight occurred on Church Hill near West Saint Charles.

5:37 p.m., Valley Springs - A residential burglary occurred on Cedar Street.


8:06 a.m., Burson - A man was out with three men who took metal and doors from Burson church property on Highway 12. He said they told him they would take it back to where it belongs, but he asked that a deputy meet him.
