The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


12:11 p.m., East Sonora - A 31-year-old woman was accused of shoplifting at a business on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

12:41 p.m., Groveland - A woman on the 22600 block of Prospect Heights said 12 rings were stolen from her bedroom table about two weeks ago.

2:07 p.m, Tuolumne - A woman on the 20500 block of Deerhaven Drive said someone used her deceased husband's information to list her foreclosed home for sale.

Felony bookings


7 p.m., Sonora - Jason Wayne Anshutz, 41, of the 21300 block of American River Drive, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest on South Washington Street.

The Sonora Police reported the following:


8:39 a.m., theft - A woman on South Stewart Street said items were stolen from her unlocked vehicle during the night.

12:10 p.m., sexual assault - A woman went to the police department to report that a man in an older dark gray Suzuki called her over to his vehicle on Bradford Avenue, and as she approached she noticed he was touching himself inappropriately. He was described as about 50 years old wearing a light colored baseball cap.

1:02 p.m., controlled substances - A student at Sonora High School was cited and released to parents on suspicion of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

8:56 p.m., vandalism - A man said he was attending Sonora High School's graduation ceremony and someone put sugar in his gas tank. Officers responded and took a vandalism report.

Fire calls


3:42 a.m., Don Pedro - The deck of a residential structure on the 5000 block of Arbolada Drive was destroyed by fire during the early morning hours. The damage to the structure is estimated at $1,000. A Cal Fire engine and Tuolumne County Fire Prevention unit responded and extinguished the blaze in about two hours. Cal Fire said no one was injured and the cause of the fire is undetermined.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


8:13 a.m., Copperopolis - A residence was burglarized on Charmstone Way.

4:16 p.m., Valley Springs - There was a fight on Rose Street.

5:50 p.m., Copperopolis - A vehicle was burglarized on Copper Hills Drive.

Felony bookings


9:57 p.m., Burson area - Marshall Palafox, 20, transient, was booked on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs causing bodily injury, after an arrest on Pattison Road north of Burson.
