The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


8:51 a.m., Arnold - A theft occurred on Lightning Lane.

9:34 a.m., Wallace - There was a burglary on Whalen Road.

9:47 a.m., Angels Camp - Forgery was reported on Frogtown Road.

3:04 p.m., Valley Springs - A report was taken for a disturbance at a business on Highway 12.


7:50 a.m., Arnold - It appeared someone tried to pry open a window to gain entry to a residence on Moran Road.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


9:53 a.m., Twain Harte - A residence on the 22700 block of Sierra Drive was broken into but nothing was taken. It appeared the suspects used the bed.

9:57 a.m., Sonora area - Mail was stolen from a mailbox on the 19600 block of Highway 108.

2:54 p.m., Jamestown - Someone called a man on the 18100 block of Fourth Avenue claiming to be an FBI agent and asking for money.

5:22 p.m., Soulsbyville - A woman on the 20500 block of Tanner Drive said unknown suspects used her debit card to make online purchases. Her bank agreed to reverse the charges.

7:29 p.m., Soulsbyville - A 23-year-old man was arrested at Willow Springs Park on suspicion of public intoxication after being found sleeping on a picnic table with a whiskey bottle by his feet.


5:57 a.m., Sonora area - Someone stole fuel from several buses at a business on the 12800 block of Cabezut Road. The business provided transportation services to adults with developmental disabilities.

No arrests

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


7:33 a.m., burglary - Someone stole a set of a tires from a business on South Washington Street.

11:18 a.m., traffic accidents - Officers responded to a possible hit-and-run accident in the Walmart parking lot on Sanguinetti Road. A woman said the male driver in the accident threw his insurance card at her and then drove toward Lowe's. Officers determined the accident was on private property and confirmed the man provided the woman with his insurance information.

6:38 p.m., theft - A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle at Lowe's on Old Wards Ferry Road.

11:07 p.m., theft - A 24-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at Walmart on Sanguinetti Road.
