The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


10:04 a.m., Jamestown - Batteries and wire were taken from a property near Green Springs and La Grange roads.

10:11 a.m., Jamestown - A woman said multiple items were stolen from her porch on the 8400 block of Old Melones Dam Road.

10:59 a.m., Jamestown - A man on the 18700 block of Mill Villa Road said a fraudulent purchase was made on his wife's debit card. The suspect purchase was for $30 to a power company in Texas. The bank has issued her a new card and reimbursed the account, but he wanted documentation of the incident.

11:42 a.m., Jamestown - A woman on the 18200 block of Ninth Avenue said medications were stolen from her vehicle during the night.

12:58 p.m., Columbia - A woman on the 22000 block of Craig Court said she was just informed someone attempted to use her son's Social Security number to obtain employment.

6:47 p.m., Soulsbyville - About $100 was stolen from an unlocked truck on the 17000 block of Upper Starr King Drive.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


2:40 a.m., Tuolumne - Geoffrey Shawn Hay, 23, of an unknown block on Buchanan Mine Road, Standard, was arrested at Black Oak Casino.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


11 a.m., traffic accidents - A large 26- to 30-foot long commercial truck hit a fire hydrant in the Rite Aid parking lot on Mono Way. The truck continued east on Sanguinetti Road. Officers found the vehicle and determined the property damage was accidental.

6:36 p.m., fraudulent activities - A man used his debit card at a gas station near Pesce Way and he later discovered two $100 charges at the same location in addition to his gas charge. An officer spoke with the man by phone and determined he was the victim of identity theft.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


3:03 p.m., Copperopolis - A theft occurred at Pheasant Run Drive and O'Byrnes Ferry Road.

3:26 p.m., San Andreas - A report was taken for a disturbance at Wells Fargo Bank on East Saint Charles Street.


7:48 a.m., Copperopolis - A stereo was stolen on Bret Harte Drive.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


6:40 p.m., Milton - Adolfo Fausto, 37, of the 3400 block of Atchison Road, Riverbank, was arrested at Milton and Hunt roads.
