William Andy Schaub

Dec. 17, 1943 - April 9, 2012

Sonora resident William Andy Schaub died April 9 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. He was 68.

Mr. Schaub was born in Modesto and served in the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Schaub also lived in Fresno and enjoyed drawing.

He is survived by his sister, Barbara Harper.

No services will be held.

Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Charles Earl Myers

Dec. 7, 1922 - April 4, 2012

Sonora resident Charles Earl Myers died April 4 at his daughter's home in Jamestown. He was 89.

Mr. Myers was born in Pennsylvania and served 18 months in World War II in the Pacific theatre. In 1946 he returned to Meadville, Pa., and a few years later moved to California. Mr. Myers was supervisor of the electrical department at Stanford University, where he retired from in 1981.

He enjoyed the Sierra and he and his wife Doris Myers ended up moving to Sonora. He worked at the U.S. Forest Service in the engineering department.

Mr. Myers also enjoyed photography and documented the family history in photo albums.

Mr. Myers is survived by his wife, Doris Myers, of Jamestown; daughters Karen Johnson, Christine Cupps and Terri Dent; his son, Jerry Myers; sons-in-laws David Dent and Richard Johnson; grandchildren Jason Dent, Richard Todd Johnson, Jennifer Williams, Jayne Anderson and Justin Cupps; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Alan Cupps.

Private services to be held.

Burial will be at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon.

Lakewood Funeral Home of Hughson is handling arrangements.

Freida 'Freddie' Weber

June 24, 1921 - April 8, 2012

Former Tuolumne County resident Freida "Freddie" Weber died April 8 at a Stockton care home. She was 90.

Mrs. Weber was born in Carey, Idaho, and lived in Sonora and Twain Harte for 30 years. She and her husband Gene Weber owned a handyman business and enjoyed RV travel and spend time with friends. They also participated in Masonic activities and community service activities.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Gene Weber; her parents; siblings; and sons Dan and Les Weber.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Wollam, of Stockton; grandchildren Heidi Wuerfel, of Stockton, Frostie Weber, Spruce Weber and Amber Hill Weber; and two great-grandchildren.

No services will be held.

The Neptune Society of Stockton handled arrangements.

Grace Maciel Silva

May 20, 1923 - April 7, 2012

Longtime Sonora resident Grace Maciel Silva died April 7 at Sonora Regional Medical Center. She was 88.

Mrs. Silva was born in Turlock and was a housewife and seamstress. She lived in Sonora for 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Silva, in 2003.

Mrs. Silva is survived by her son, Clarence Silva, of Stockton; and grandchildren Nora Larsen, of Los Angeles and Lillian Sealey, of Stockton.

Services will be held at a later date.

BEAUDREAU - Barbara Beaudreau, 78, of Jamestown, died Tuesday at her home. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

STONE - Susan Stone, 62, of Tuolumne, died Monday at Sonora Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be held Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Heuton Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Mountain Shadow Cemetery in Sonora. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
