Business summit set
The Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce is organizing its fifth business summit set for next month.
The day-long summit, which is sponsored by the chamber as well as Columbia College and Mother Lode Job Training, will offer nine workshops on topics like branding, human resources, online marketing and business law. The event is scheduled to run May 1 at Columbia College.
Presenters at the summit will include keynote speaker Marty Keller, founder of Small Business Revolution and former director of the state's Office of Small Business Advocate, as well as Gillian Murphy of the San Joaquin Delta College Business Development Center, CPA David Butler, and others.
Attending the event will cost $45 for member businesses and $35 for each additional staff, as well as $55 for non-members and $45 from additional staff. Morning beverages and buffet lunch are included.

Breakfast for professionals
The Sierra Professional Association meets on Tuesdays at 7 a.m. at the Pine Tree Restaurant, 19601 Hess Ave., Sonora.
The group offers a means of personally advertising each member's business with other executives while enhancing business development through leads.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, April 24 and will feature Ron Ringen, member of the Tuolumne Utilities District Board of Directors.
