The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


1:46 p.m., East Sonora - A woman on the 16600 block of Hillside Drive said there were fraudulent charges on her debit card.

3:09 p.m., Sonora area - A woman on the 14500 block of Lolly Lane was called by a man told her she won the lottery and asked for her personal information. She gave them man her Social Security number before realizing it was a scam. She was advised to monitor her credit.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


6:44 p.m., Sonora - Freeman Edger Crosby, 71, of an unknown block on Golden Dove Lane, Jamestown, was arrested on the 800 block of Mono Way.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


3:59 a.m., suspicious circumstances - A truck driver on his way to make a delivery spotted two people running across the street near the 400 block of Mono Way and thought it looked suspicious. It appeared they were carrying items. Officers were unable to locate them.

6:01 p.m., drugs - Two men were cited and released for smoking marijuana at Courthouse Square.

6:09 p.m., warrants - A 31-year-old woman was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant after being found passed out in her vehicle with the lights on and engine running at a parking lot on the 800 block of Mono Way.

7:26 p.m., burglary - Someone reported a theft in progress at Walmart on Sanguinetti Road. Two people were seeing running out of the building and getting into a green BMW. The vehicle was seen taking a right on Sanguinetti Road at a high rate of speed. Officers pulled over the vehicle on the 13400 block of Mono Way. A 23-year-old man was arrested and booked into Tuolumne County Jail on suspicion of several misdemeanors including theft, battery and attempting to commit a crime. A 19-year-old woman was cited and released for driving without a license and the BMW was impounded.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


8:24 a.m., Copperopolis - A report was taken regarding a disturbance involving individuals arguing over a dog on Little John Road.

8:52 a.m., Valley Springs - There was a vandalism on Wild Wolf Court.


7:49 a.m., San Andreas - A woman on Sunset Street was calling for her friend who woke up and found 12 plastic flamingos in her yard. She was wondering if they should just throw them away.

Felony bookings


4:40 p.m., Hathaway Pines - Steven John Sibert, 66, of the 200 block of Cedar Drive, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest at his home.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


1:38 p.m.., San Andreas - Sherry Renee Brannan, 56, of the 9700 block of Indian Creek Drive, was arrested on the 100 block of East St. Charles Street.

8:25 p.m., Sheep Ranch - Thomas John Kosta, 57, of the 11000 block of El Dorado Street, was arrested on Armstrong Road south of Sheep Ranch.
