The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


1:36 p.m., Mono Village - Someone on the 19400 block of Village Drive complained about people drinking and causing a disturbance in a nearby parking lot on the weekends and requested extra patrol in the area.

3:31 p.m., Jamestown - A woman from the 10300 block of Preston Lane was in the Sheriff's Office lobby to report a possible fraud. She said she was sent a check for more than $2,900, which she was supposed to deposit and send the money back.

4:26 p.m., Jamestown - Someone said a shed on the 10600 block of River Oak Court had been broken into but nothing was taken. The person requested extra patrol because of other burglaries in the area.


9:17 a.m., Sonora area - Someone on the 20300 block of Brook Drive said a PayPal account was fraudulently opened using personal information.

9:26 a.m., Sonora area - A woman on the 20600 block of Lori Lane said her residence was burglarized during the night. A laptop computer, box of checks and jar of change were taken.

Felony bookings


7:35 a.m., Sonora - Richard Keith Souza, 47, of the 18800 block of Manzanita Drive, Twain Harte, was booked on suspicion of illegal possession of a firearm, after an arrest on the 100 block of Yaney Avenue.

9:55 p.m., Jamestown - Charles Bruce Johnson, 20, of the 15000 block of Lakeside Drive, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of possessing drugs for sale, after an arrest on the 18200 block of Ninth Avenue.


2:09 a.m., Jamestown - Cathy Lee Carol Scotland, 18, of the 20000 block of Chipmunk Road, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on the 18200 block of Fifth Avenue.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


9:32 a.m., vandalism, property damage - A report was taken after someone on Fairview Lane reported damage to a fence on city owned property.

11:22 a.m., suspicious circumstances - A woman said her husband was shopping at a grocery store on Mono Way when a "scruffy, dirty male subject" approached him with a briefcase asking for a cash donation for the Sheriff's Office.

12:52 p.m., public intoxication - A 41-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after she was allegedly seen sitting on a bench on South Washington Street, yelling out foul language and telling people off.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


8:08 a.m., Valley Springs - A break-in and theft occurred on Hagen Road.

3:09 p.m., Valley Springs - A residence was burglarized for the second time on Orielly Street.

9:10 p.m., Angels Camp - Two younger men were seen walking on Gardner Lane near Dogtown Road wearing hats and underwear.

Felony bookings


8 a.m., Murphys - Craig Scott Hull, 39, of the 2900 block of Murphys Grade Road, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest at his home.

6 p.m., Valley Springs - Alicia Diane Pereira, 36, of the 6100 block of McCauley Road, was booked on suspicion of child endangerment, possessing marijuana for sale, cultivating marijuana and conspiracy to commit crime, after an arrest at her home.

8 p.m., Valley Springs - Andrew James Adams, 18, of the 6100 block of McCauley Road, was booked on suspicion of selling marijuana, possessing marijuana for sale and conspiracy to commit crime, after an arrest at his home.
