The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


9:13 a.m., East Sonora - A woman said she believes her wallet was stolen from her purse several days ago while she was loading her vehicle with groceries at a store on the 13700 block of Mono Way. The wallet was returned in her mailbox on Monday and she was concerned the person wrote down her credit and checking account numbers. She alerted her bank, canceled her cards and requested documentation from the Sheriff's Office.

9:27 a.m., Sonora area - A woman on the 22200 block of Belleview Road said four compact discs, a large round wood file and a hammer were stolen from her vehicle between Jan. 28 and 30.

10:04 a.m., Soulsbyville - A woman said someone cut four trees down and left them on the ground at her property for sale on the 20300 block of Starr King Drive.

1:48 p.m., Sonora area - A man on the 20500 block of Bay Meadow Drive said someone was fraudulently using his bank card number.

3:56 p.m., Tuolumne - Gas was siphoned out of a vehicle while it was parked outside of a residence on the 19000 block of Hillhaven Road.

6:27 p.m., Columbia - Someone broke through the window of a vehicle and stole the air conditioning unit, CD player, two amplifiers and cables, while it was parked on the 11600 block of Columbia College Drive.

6:51 p.m., Soulsbyville - Someone on the 17300 block of Carlozzi Drive reported credit card fraud.

9:12 p.m., Big Oak Flat - A checkbook and wallet were taken from a man's vehicle on the 10900 block of Black Road.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


10:52 a.m., theft - Items were stolen from a woman's unlocked vehicle on South Shepherd Street.

1:57 p.m., vandalism - Someone cut the power cord to a soda vending machine near a store on Stockton Road

2:57 p.m., public peace - An unknown vehicle was parked outside of a residence on North Shepherd Street honking its horn for 45 minutes. It was gone when officers arrived at the scene.

5 p.m., burglary - A man wearing black clothing allegedly tried to steal a pair of shoes from Walmart on Sanguinetti Road. An employee was attacked by the man's pit bull during the incident, upon which the man fled on foot and was last seen heading towards the railroad tracks. The shoes were recovered in the store by security officers.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


11:03 a.m., Valley Springs - Water equipment was vandalized on Gold Creek Drive.

2:10 p.m., Murphys - A theft occurred at a store on Highway 4.

2:48 p.m., Valley Springs - A disturbance occurred on Thornicroft Drive.

3:22 p.m., San Andreas - An arrest was made following a disturbance on Market Street.

3:50 p.m., Murphys - Theft occurred on Dogwood Drive.

4:02 p.m., Valley Springs - Criminal contempt was reported on Daphne Street.
