The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


9:27 a.m., Columbia - An unknown vandal spray painted swastikas on the entry door to the armory at Columbia Airport. The graffiti has since been washed and painted over, according to airport officials.

9:39 a.m., East Sonora - A man said someone threw french fries at his car near McDonald's on Mono Way.

12:41 p.m., Columbia - Someone on the 22000 block of Red Gulch Road said a flat screen TV was stolen from his home.

5:49 p.m., Groveland - A man on the 19500 block of Pleasant View Drive said someone attempted to make fraudulent charges on his credit card.

7:40 p.m., Sonora area - A man said someone called him claiming to be from Citibank and asking for the last four digits of his Social Security number. The man said he never had a Citibank account and knew it was a scam, so he hung up the phone without disclosing any personal information.

Felony bookings


11:18 a.m., Sonora - Ulises Morales, 32, of the 2500 block of Maestro Way, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of false imprisonment, after an arrest on the 400 block of South Stewart Street.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


11:17 a.m., suspicious circumstances -A man at a business on South Washington Street said he paid for a repair with cash about a month ago and the person he paid claimed the bills were counterfeit. Officers responded and a report was taken.

1:30 p.m., assault - A man said he had a verbal dispute with a young man over a parking space at a grocery store on Mono Way. He said the young man spit in his face and walked inside the store. Officers responded but were unable to locate the suspect or his vehicle.

2:04 p.m., theft - A man on West Bradford Avenue said his firewood was stolen and he had suspect information.

7:38 p.m., burglary - Officers arrested a juvenile on suspicion of trying to steal a bottle of vodka from a grocery store on Stockton Street. The juvenile was released to the custody of the Probation Department.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


9:26 a.m., Valley Springs - Someone said there was a burglary on McAtee Street.

12:09 p.m., Mountain Ranch - A report was taken for a possible theft in progress on Potteroffs Road.

1:30 p.m., Arnold - Someone said a residence was burglarized on Julia Lane.

6:38 p.m., Mokelumne Hill - A shed was broken into and items were taken on Lafayette Street.


7:07 a.m., Valley Springs - A theft at an equipment yard occurred on Highway 12.

7:34 a.m., Valley Springs - A vehicle was broken into on Gold King Drive.

7:57 a.m., Valley Springs - A car was broken into on Gold Creek Court.
