Computer class

California Connects will offer free computer classes beginning Jan. 23.

Classes consist of four, two-hour sessions, and are designed to get

first time and novice computer users using e-mail and the Internet.

Classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 to 11a.m. at

Mother Lode Job Connection, 19890 Cedar Road North, Sonora, and from 9

to 11 a.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at ATCAA, 427 North Highway 49, third

floor, Sonora.

An additional class will also be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2

to 4 p.m. at ATCAA. For more information or to signup for a class, call

Women's Network

The Calaveras County Women's Network will meet at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 24 at The Mercantile, 1267 S. Main St. in Angels Camp.

Guest speaker Linda Larsen, certified master practitioner of

Neuro-Linguistic Programming, will present an introduction to NLP. The

discussion will include how these tools can be used to enhance

communication skills in business and personal relationships, help you

recognize what motivates your employees and yourself, and how to gain

rapport with others. She will also discuss conscious and unconscious

limiting beliefs that may be holding your back from your goals.

Dinner will be served and consist of a soup and salad bar, and

dessert. Water, tea and coffee will be provided, and additional

beverages may be purchased at the venue. Those who attend can bring a

bottle of wine to share. The cost is $23 for members, and $25 for

non-members. Reservations should be received by today. Those who make

reservations, but are unable to attend will still be responsible for
